After a slow start for this month, Google appears to be back in full swing. eCPM rate is back to its normal high. However, I think I need to do more tweaking with the banner placement. There are a few poor performing spots – most notably the Google 468 that runs near the top on Laptop Gamers and Digital Grabber. I may try moving them to the bottom of the page like I did at The TechZone.
The TechZone use to run a Google 728 at the top with a Google 468 under that. After moving the 468 to the bottom, the click rate on the 728 went up and the click rate on the 468 remain the same. That gave me a net grain of about 25%, which works out to quite a bit when you’re talking TTZ numbers.
