Happy Thankgiving - What I’m Thankful For

written by John Chow on November 22nd, 2007

I like to wish all John Chow dot Com readers a happy and safe Thanksgiving holiday. Thanksgiving is not only a time to spend with family and enjoy a nice turkey dinner, it’s also a time to reflect on the things that we are thankful for. With that in mind, I would like to share some of things I’m thankful for as we enter the holiday season.

I am thankful for my wife Sarah, who has supported me from day 1. The saying “behind every successful man, there is a woman” is a true one and a big reason I am where I am today is because of her unyielding support.

I am thankful for all the friends I have made during my Internet journey. Many of these relationships have turned into lifelong friendships. They say you are a lucky man if you can say you have one true friend in life. If that is really the criteria then I can safely say I am a super lucky guy.

I am thankful for everyone who reads this blog. It’s been an amazing journey seeing my blog grow from a handful of readers to the many thousands it welcomes today. You’re the reason I continue to update this blog. A big thanks goes out to my sponsors as well. They help pay the cost of running this place.

I am thankful to whoever invented Black Friday. Not because of the great shopping deals but because it makes me a lot of money to help pay for all those Christmas gifts.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

“sponsors who help pay the cost of running this place”… plus a little extra for a beer at the end of the month.

Happy Thanksgiving, John.

why does it take a holiday to for folks to say things like this? do it every day, not just on the holidays.

it means more.

At the end of the day, you’re only as good as the friends you have and the (e)books you read.

Your real thank you list should include:

1) Digg.com
2) Biggest GooGle ad whores.
3) Nate Whitehall
4) The guy that started the ad-flipping frenzy

But friends and family is cool too.

But your not to thankful for the current exchange rates though are ya?
