Have You Entered My Twitter Contest Yet?

If you haven’t entered my Twitter contest yet, You have two days left to do so. I am giving away a $497 six month Blog Mastermind course. Blog Mastermind is by far the most complete course on blogging that I have ever came across. If you follow the course for the full six months, there should be no reason why you couldn’t make full time income with part time blogging.

The deadline for entering the contest closes at midnight January 31 and the winner will be announced the next day. To enter, you only need to do the following two things:

  1. Follow me on Twitter.
  2. Tweet the following message to your followers

Just entered the $497 Blog Mastermind contest. You can win by following @JohnChow and retweet. http://xr.com/master He follows back too!

You can see the current list of entries here. Right now, it stands at 800 unique entries. You only need to tweet the above post once. Tweeting multiply times will still only get your name on the list once. Good luck!

Twitter Tip of The Day: Make a Custom Twitter Homepage

My Twitter Home Page

Want to increase your chance of getting more Twitter followers? Then stop using the default Twitter background on your Twitter homepage. Instead, you should create a custom background with some information about you and why users should follow you. You’ll see a nice increase in conversions.

You can put as much information as you want on your background. At the very least, I would say you need a photo and URL to your blog. I added the URL to my accounts on Digg, Facebook, YouTube and LinkedIn so users have more than one way to connect with me. My Twitter background was designed by Nate Whitehill of Unique Blog Designs.

the only problem with creating twitter background or homepage designs is you only have that small space on the side.

@johnchow the background he got for you is perfect with the listings of the online services you’re registered

I’ve tried something myself a while back for my twitter background/homepage come check it out…nothing like john’s but it’s what came to my head then. i might change it up now that John’s given us the idea to get more followers/readers/friends

  23. JC,

Nice competition and Twitter tips (n_n)

But about the tips, it may face problem coz from what I have seen on ur Twitter profile, the left side stuff that you put in is too big probably. So, it cant be seen by those who has the small computer screen.

You should try to reconsider the design – maybe make it smaller or change it totally. Just my thought though (n_n)

    1. John Chow says:

It fits on a 1024 screen. If your screen is smaller than a 1024, well, I’m sorry to hear that. 😛

  24. John,

Thanks for the twitter contests! They are beneficial for new marketers / bloggers like me.

I am enjoying the Online Profits course-ware I recently won. Very solid instruction to become a real on-line business not just a ‘hobby’.
