As some of you may know, I am in the final round of a Ruff PC giveaway. I have stated that if I win the Ruff PC laptop, I would give it away to a lucky John Chow dot Com reader. To win the contest, I need to have the most votes by January 4, 2008.

Reply to this commentThere is still plenty of time (until January 4) for things to develop in John’s favor. About 24 hours ago, he had over 80% of the total votes. Since we are not talking about tens of thousands of votes here (there are less than 1k total votes at the moment of writing), just about anything can happen.

Reply to this commentI see that he has gained about 200 other votes since the last time I’ve visited and, since his blog has a lot more traffic than the main competitor (who also seems to have gained about 200 votes since yesterday), he should be able to win as long as the other person plays fair.

You should put the stumbleupon and other links in a more noticeable place maybe with icons! It took me going to the “TechTreak” website and noticing his stumbleupon icon right on top before I came back to check and see if you had them! I neglected to scroll to the bottom of your post and missed them.

Reply to this commentYup, like I mentioned in the last post, there’s no way Techtreak could have that many votes. The review isn’t that good, so I find it hard to believe people are just voting honestly for his review.
He hardly has a single comment on his entire blog, so he sure isn’t getting it from his readers. Either he set something up, has another website, or the contest is rigged so they don’t actually have to give away a computer , lol.

I was playing with the widget code to see if it’s compatible with another application and so I was seeing fresh results for a few hours last night. Anyone else notice the same? He sure is giving you a run on this one.
