Home At Last

The plane got delayed 15 minutes, but other than that, the flight was quite nice. We landed at 9:30PM and there was a huge line up at Canada customs. We had to wait in that line-up for over 30 minutes. I’m not use to waiting. I really don’t like doing it and am always thinking up new ways to jump it. Most of the time, this works but you have to be careful when dealing with customs people.

After getting past customs we went to the get our bags and proceeded to head out. However, at the finally check point Sarah gets stop for a final check. They find her business cards stating she works for my site. This created a problem because Sarah is a US resident, and Canada likes US people working in Canada as much as the US likes Canadians working in the US. So this created another delay as Sarah was sent to immigration to explain that she really doesn’t work for me and those business cards were just so she can get into the 2006 CES and attend all those great parties with me. After about 30 minutes, they finally let her go.

Instead of heading directly home, we swung by Pho Hoa for a late night dinner. After an entire week of nothing but party food, a bowl of Pho sure was nice! I’ll post more about my Vegas trip tomorrow.
