Hosting The Shoemoney Show Today

written by John Chow on September 18, 2007

This is just a reminder to tune into Webmaster Radio at 3PM PST today. I will be hosting Net Income with Jeremy Schoemaker. The Shoe is at TechCrunch40 and cannot do the show today so he asked me to take over.

My guest will be Nate Whitehill of Unique Blog Designs. Nate rocketed in fame by redesigning my blog and Shoemoney’s blog. We will also have one other special guest that I’m sure everyone knows. This is my first time hosting a radio show. I’m sure I’ll be screwing up a few things but it still should be fun.

To listen to the show, go to the Webmaster Radio website and click the Windows Media or Winamp icon on the right side bar. Alternatively, you can tune into the show with iTunes. Do a search for Webmaster Radio. See you at 3PM! If you miss the show, it will be available for download later.

Chris Jacobson September 18, 2007 at 12:25 pm

Adnan September 18, 2007 at 12:27 pm

Everybody admire your writting skills. Now time to prove your speaking skills :) Good Luck John!

DeboHobo September 18, 2007 at 12:27 pm

Lincoln September 18, 2007 at 1:10 pm

Figures you would be a “shoo-in” for this show.

I just hope they don’t give you “the boot” afterwards.

Mahesh Mohan September 18, 2007 at 2:44 pm

Whats in it??? New tips and tricks? Anyway I will give a try…

Ed Lau September 18, 2007 at 2:56 pm

I think John, Greg and I will do a pretty good job on the show…but we’re beginner DJs…lol

John Cow September 18, 2007 at 2:59 pm

Alex Shalman September 18, 2007 at 3:10 pm

Darin Carter September 18, 2007 at 3:08 pm

ROFLMFAO!!!!

Darin

Alex Shalman September 18, 2007 at 3:11 pm

I’m not gonna lie it’s pretty funny.

Chris Jacobson September 18, 2007 at 3:15 pm

What’s with the background noise? Are you guys outside?

Alex Shalman September 18, 2007 at 3:23 pm

No, it’s just all the static created by the cow…

Alex Shalman September 18, 2007 at 3:25 pm

Are you allowed to say cock on the radio?

Alex Shalman September 18, 2007 at 3:38 pm

Alright… the Cow broke something… and we’re off the air…

PropertyIreland`` September 18, 2007 at 3:41 pm

listening now and sorry to say it all sounds pretty unprofessional…
way to many aaaahhhhhsssssss, mmmmmsssssss from all involved.
great idea but time to practice i think..

Alex Shalman September 18, 2007 at 3:45 pm

I’m more interested in content over performance on this one

Ed Lau September 18, 2007 at 4:01 pm

It sounds unprofessional because…well, we’re not professionals. Radio shows aren’t something we regularly do.

John Chow September 18, 2007 at 4:07 pm

Yes we need practice. This is our first ever radio show.

PropertyIreland September 18, 2007 at 5:48 pm

yeah, didn’t mean to sound too critical but reading my post now i see that i did. I know it’s your first and am looking forward to hearing many more…

krillz September 18, 2007 at 4:13 pm

still good to hear something regular a part from the damn voices you hear all the time on the radio, you know the ones in commercials as well.

krillz September 18, 2007 at 3:42 pm

half way in and it died, just me or?

Alex Shalman September 18, 2007 at 3:45 pm

No… it’s dead.

krillz September 18, 2007 at 3:49 pm

I knew that having a cow on the show would spell disastor, it must have had scratched itself against the servers or something… well I hope the mp3 is recorded by them and not somebody listening to the show.

Alex Shalman September 18, 2007 at 3:53 pm

Yea I seriously want to know how it ends…

Ed Lau September 18, 2007 at 4:00 pm

We’ll have an MP3 available.

ColorStruck September 18, 2007 at 3:43 pm

No, it’s definitely dead.

John Chow September 18, 2007 at 4:05 pm

Looks like Webmaster Radio lost their streaming connection part way through our show. The MP3 should be available tomorrow so you’ll be able to hear the rest.

Alex Shalman September 18, 2007 at 4:11 pm

I hope you update us with a post… with my attention span, by the time tomorrow rolls around, I’ll have forgotten what webmaster radio is =)

krillz September 18, 2007 at 4:15 pm

bookmark!
haha yeah like that would happen, I don’t even dare to open up my bookmark window, that’s a huge list.
I bet most people have a similar huge list too.

Jeremy Steele September 18, 2007 at 8:16 pm

Who the heck streams their content anyway? Whenever I listen to it it cuts out all the friggin time.

Wahlau.NET September 24, 2007 at 7:31 pm

ahh..mp3 would be good, I guess a lot of people missed it…how does it turn out?

Darin Carter September 18, 2007 at 5:31 pm

The JohnChow.Com Show!
Darin

Jeremy Steele September 18, 2007 at 8:15 pm

Bad idea, then the JohnCow.com show will pop up!

“Moo… mooo.. moo… mooo. moo…. moo”

Liberty and New Creation September 18, 2007 at 6:09 pm

Sorry I missed it. Some of still have to have a day job!

Jeremy Steele September 18, 2007 at 8:14 pm

I missed it as well :(

Scoot September 18, 2007 at 7:31 pm

John, I was a guest on my brokers radio show a while back and think I did okay, but I have to say it takes some sand to get on the radio, and especially to be the guest host. More power to ya!

Alex Shalman September 18, 2007 at 3:57 pm

So you work with Nate in designs?

Adii September 18, 2007 at 4:09 pm

Alex – yup I do. Nate outsources some of his design work to me, if he can’t cope with the amount of new work! :) And three of the premium, exclusive themes are mine as well…
