How I Plan For the Week Ahead Of Me

If you’re like me, running 5 businesses, then it’s important you know how to organize your work, making sure you know EXACTLY what you have to going forward. It’s important you stay active and the time you’re NOT focusing on your work, you will be losing potential business. On Sundays, I sit down and create a schedule for myself from Monday – Saturday, making sure I know what I need to get done during the week. This helps me progress further in my business while accomplishing what I need to, adding motivation throughout the week. If you’re experienced and have been blogging for some time, you’re NOT going to have too many problems coming up with a solid game plan, but if you’re just starting out, then it’s important you know what matters and what doesn’t. Don’t waste your time focusing on factors that will produce no results and NOT add to the bottom line.

I’m here to help you organize things so no matter what, you pull the most out of your work week. There are a few things I know I have to make sure I do through the week that yield true productivity. Let’s take a quick look at the things you should be focusing on if you’re an online blogger. Here’s a quick outline:

  • Writing Content
  • Building Links
  • Networking
  • Social Media
  • Exercising

Content Writing

This is the MOST important part of my week because I write around 10,000 – 15,000 words for my various blogs. Not to mention, I dedicate a lot of time to writing content for guest blogs so I need to make sure I organize all of this. What helps is I know where to go to find the right content ideas and what relevant readers are looking for. I wake up and have breakfast, then punch out 4-5 posts so they can be done with early in the morning. I’ve noticed as time goes on, I get bit lazy so it’s important I get the creative part of my day done before tiredness kicks in. Here’s my advice for you…

If you need to write content, then do it first thing because it is truly the MOST important for any blog. Without content, your blog won’t grow and it’s important you stay focused. Write it while you are fully alert and can produce the best. Later in the day will make you lazy, ultimately effecting your writing skills.

Building Links

This is a very important part of my week and I make sure I schedule a few link building campaigns throughout the week. You have to keep in mind that link building has to be slow and steady so it’s important to build links gradually. Having a plan to build links each week is a great way to spread out the entire process and make things look natural. What’s involved in my link building process?

  • Research
  • Analyzing competitors
  • Building PBN’s
  • Link Directories
  • Analyze by current link profile

Having planned my SEO throughout the week makes me confident I’ll be able to rank my websites over a few weeks while following all of Google guidelines. The thing to keep in mind is if you don’t plan ahead, you might bulk build links, hurting your website’s reputation.

Networking

Throughout the week, I spend time networking with other authority bloggers in my niche. Even though it’s hard to make progress every week, I still send out emails as an “outreach” campaign to open up doors of communication. This is very important because networking will allow me access to some of the greatest minds in my niche. It’ll even open up guest blogging opportunities that I can use to drive relevant traffic to my blog.

Social Media

I use Bufferapp.com to automate my entire social media posting. Each week, I set up around 9-10 targeted blog posts to go live at different times. I’ll do this on a Monday so my social media outreach is taken care of for the rest of the week WITHOUT me putting too much effort going forward. I recommend all of you automate the social media aspect of your marketing because you don’t need to spend time on things you can automate and make easier.

  • Use Bufferapp.com
  • Schedule the most relevant posts
  • Pick a few from external resources to increase engagement

Exercising

I can’t stress how important it is to have a regular exercising routine. It’s well known when you exercise regularly, your increasing endorphins in your system, which help with mood and motivation. Sometimes you need to be thinking clearly to get the right inspiration so make sure you have an exercise routine in place. How much do I recommend?

Many trainers recommend an active routine 3-4 times a week lasting anywhere from 1-2 hours. With a nutritious diet, this should be enough to keep things balanced in your life. Ever since I started to exercise, I wake up ready to work and write down my thoughts on paper. It helps to be thinking clearly about what you want and how you’re going to accomplish it.
