When WebProNews call me to talk about SEO and web directories, I never thought it would be part of a video on how to create higher page rankings. Had I known the phone call was being taped, I would have tried my damnest to flirt with the female interviewer. It would be funny to see if they air it.
The video talked with Eric Dytzel from NoviceSEO.com about a blog posting called “How I Went from 600 to 14 on Google in 100 Days.” He discusses the tips he found while researching Search Engine Optimization. Aaron Wall from SEOBook.com is also featured and gave some great optimization tips. I was used for the 30 second sound bite on directories and linking strategies.

One of the most common complaint (or excuse) I hear from potential new bloggers is they don’t know how to install WordPress. Terms like FTP and CPanel are like a foreign language and setting up a database might as well be setting up the space shuttle for a launch. Although I have to agree with the pingback, in terms of there being more qualified people for that interview….but hey you’re just doing what you do best…getting publicity and then getting paid

You mention that they didn’t tell you that your phone conversation was being recorded. Doesn’t it bother you that they recorded the conversation without your permission? I mean suppose they didn’t use it for a good purpose.
Boy are you good at having your name all over the place. Someone should write a book on your blogging career. Tips, tricks and techniques.

the everyday stuff we read on blogs but there were a couple of new things I learned
Video is big right now and there is a lot of traffic to be made with them. Use Youtube!

Decent interview, but some of the stuff I just find funny. I’m not a fan of press releases for just a startup type site. It is really just cheesy.
You got screwed on your soundbyte though.. too short and they probably only took the basics.. either that or you didnt share much
I wish Aaron can give some other payment processors and give me a chance to buy his e-book. Have heard many good things about it and I really respect his point of views about SEO, he knows what he is talking about.
