How To Create Higher Page Ranking
written by John Chow on September 12th, 2007
When WebProNews call me to talk about SEO and web directories, I never thought it would be part of a video on how to create higher page rankings. Had I known the phone call was being taped, I would have tried my damnest to flirt with the female interviewer. It would be funny to see if they air it.
The video talked with Eric Dytzel from NoviceSEO.com about a blog posting called “How I Went from 600 to 14 on Google in 100 Days.” He discusses the tips he found while researching Search Engine Optimization. Aaron Wall from SEOBook.com is also featured and gave some great optimization tips. I was used for the 30 second sound bite on directories and linking strategies.

Reply to this commentIt will, who doesn’t like to watch video these days?
Reply to this commentHe sure will. I already saw that video before he posted it (yeah newsletter from webpronews). It is a short but nice video, sort of entertainment
Reply to this commentI think John has enough traffic it just makes him even stronger.
Reply to this commentI see a lot of other people making videos of Mr. John Chow.
How about you create your own videos to mix it up a bit?

Reply to this commentI didn’t know other people were making the video for him
Reply to this commentLucky…
Quality. I like it.
Reply to this commentDefinitely great video on SEO tips and hopefully bring more exposure to the site.
Reply to this commentMore publicity for you, well done
Although I have to agree with the pingback, in terms of there being more qualified people for that interview….but hey you’re just doing what you do best…getting publicity and then getting paid
Reply to this commentI was wondering this, do these TV shows pay you or are you just happy for the publicity, just curious?
Reply to this commentGreat! John you are on video again!
Reply to this commentNice press, John!
Reply to this commentNice Interview.

Does this mean I can write and eBook since I went from unindexed to number 52 in less than a week? I’ll probably be top 10 next week, woo!
Reply to this commentNothing really new here. Solid advice for the novices though.
Reply to this commentHey John,
I just wrote a little post about you. There’s a running poll on my blog to see if your fans would like to select you to be part of the movie. The winner will have a chance to be featured in Blogging the Movie. You’re up against Shoemoney, Dosh Dosh, and Problogger.

Reply to this commentHmmm, I am not sure if people will want to watch a video about blogging…
Reply to this commentMan when your on a role your on a role eh. Its cool to see though where you can all go with a great blog.
Reply to this commentAren’t you married, why are you flirting with other women?

Reply to this commentTo spice up the interview?
Reply to this commentFlirting makes the world go around. I’m happily married but will still likely spend more money on a nice flirty advertising partner
Reply to this commentOk that a strange answer
Reply to this commentHe wouldnt be a man without flirting… but he wasnt…
Reply to this commentCool… “Get other websites to link to you”…

Reply to this commentjohn chow is a cheeky man ahr…but i was good exposure with webpronews i believe.
Reply to this commentPretty basic stuff, still good to listen to though
Reply to this commentNothing new here but I guess it’s not that important for the featured bloggers
great job John!
Reply to this commentJohn…
Do you have any advice about when the best time to submit a digg article? Thanks in advance
Alan

Reply to this commentLooking Good John.
Today on my blog I wrote about laws of attraction and gave another link back to your site

Reply to this commentYou mention that they didn’t tell you that your phone conversation was being recorded. Doesn’t it bother you that they recorded the conversation without your permission? I mean suppose they didn’t use it for a good purpose.
Reply to this commentBoy are you good at having your name all over the place. Someone should write a book on your blogging career. Tips, tricks and techniques.
Reply to this commentNice Interview John. But not telling you the phone conversation was recorded is
Reply to this commentthe everyday stuff we read on blogs but there were a couple of new things I learned
Reply to this commentVideo is big right now and there is a lot of traffic to be made with them. Use Youtube!
Reply to this commentSo did they tell you in the end that it was recorded and if it can be used?
Reply to this commentnice tips! and have fun with your traffic
Reply to this commentdon’t they tell you when the phone call is recorded?
Reply to this commentThanks for the tips. Some of these I already knew. I’m going to implement them and see what it does to my traffic.
Reply to this commentDecent interview, but some of the stuff I just find funny. I’m not a fan of press releases for just a startup type site. It is really just cheesy.
You got screwed on your soundbyte though.. too short and they probably only took the basics.. either that or you didnt share much
Reply to this commentI wish Aaron can give some other payment processors and give me a chance to buy his e-book. Have heard many good things about it and I really respect his point of views about SEO, he knows what he is talking about.
