In no way am I being combative here, but I just wanted to say that not all ReviewMe posts are 100% positive. If John found something, well, questionable he certainly said something about it. As far as making money for himself vs helping others, I think the whole premise of this blog is just that -- to help others earn while generating revenue. A huge chunk of his earnings go to charities anyway, right, so I don't see anything wrong with that at all.

good post john. I think that negative comments are great for a site (as long as they are constructive). However, i think its important for any webmaster to take on board any comments that are made.

im a huge fan of your blog and in particular, your writing style. However, in two of my posts i have critized your blog for 2 things.

1. All reviews are 100% positive. I find myself skipping most reviews now as they are always 100% positive. I understand that you might be rejecting sites for review that you dont like however it's hard to not lose faith in your reviews when there is little of no negative aspects in the review. If there is no criticism then the reviews come across as advertisements or sales talk.

2. The review me for a link. There has been nearly 60 posts linking back for people who have helped you google bomb your site higher in the rankings for the term 'make money online'. I understand you want to pay those back who linked you etc however im sure many other readers like myself get bored reading these posts very quickly. You have written some great posts about making money line and promoting blogs however i fail to see how these get rich quick linking schemes are gonna help any blog long term.

i hope you dont think im being too negative as i enjoy reading this blog. However, i think that the blog should concentrate more on helping others making money instead of yourself.

that being said, hope your enjoying your stay in canada :):)

This blog basically has it all -- travel, food, new gadgets, great deals and freebies, evil contests, and reviews that are, admit it, useful for a lot of us mogul dot com wannabes. Some might think it's ambitious, but it could mean for the better.
