How to Make Money Creating E-Books

One of the keys to having a successful career making money online is to generate income even when you’re not working. That’s the critical difference between a regular job and being an Internet entrepreneur.

While it can be challenging and time-consuming to publish an actual book, the ebook market can be considerably easier to crack. Even then, the process can seem daunting and confusing from the outside. Can you make money from writing an ebook?

Helping you achieve this goal is Ebook Profits Unleashed, an e-book on how to make money writing and selling e-books. Go figure. Over the course of this review, we’ll take a look at what this e-book has to offer and whether it’s worth the asking price.

Who Is the Author?

There are many people out there who claim to be experts when they have no real knowledge at all. While it’s possible that author Jesse Regan has the experience and skills to create successful ebooks, he doesn’t really “sell” this in the “About the Author” section of the ebook:

Jesse Regan is fun loving, positive thinking family man who truly believes that anything is possible with the right mindset and a whole lot of action. In his spare time he enjoys rock climbing, biking, skiing, weightlifting, hunting, fishing, reading self development books and spending as much time as he can with his loved ones.

Personally, I think the section is better served by telling us why we should trust and believe the guidance being given by Regan. At this stage, I’m much less interested in his biking and fishing habits.

Make Money Writing and Selling Ebooks

So, the core product is called Ebook Profits Unleashed and it gives you a step-by-step guide on how to create a successful ebook. It has been written in such a way to be accessible even by newbies.

The ebook itself is 142 pages and it really goes through every phase of the e-book writing process. It starts by describing the importance of researching your topic and progresses through to designing book covers, finding hosting and a domain to sell your book, creating an opt-in page to capture email addresses, and developing the sales copy to market the end product.

Oh, and it talks a little about the actual writing process itself. Regan says that you could write the ebook yourself, but you could just as easily outsource the work to someone else. He says that he has writers that can produce ebooks at about a buck a page, though I question the quality that writers can produce at that price.

Writing Style and Approachability

Regan also encourages the use of PLR ebooks and other sources that can then be “tweaked” to create your own original content. In terms of his own e-book, Regan outlines the information in a clear and easy-to-understand matter.

For instance, here is a brief section on how you can go about creating a good e-book e-cover. Throughout the e-book, Regan has included links to several useful resources.

Some of these are affiliate links, providing Regan with additional supplemental income. You could just as easily do the same should you choose to write and publish an e-book of your own.

Your Free Bonus Materials

As an added incentive, Regan is providing a free bonus if you sign up for his mailing list. This is an online rolodex of free (or cheap) online resources that you can use. The document itself is 180 pages.

I suspect that, like the main ebook, the bonus also contains a few affiliate links. Nice work.

Should you choose to purchase Ebook Profits Unleashed, you are also provided with at least four other bonus materials: Rocket Launch Video Course, Video Marketing on Steroids, Email Marketing Demon, and Easy Squeeze Page Templates.

How Much Does It Cost?

Even people who are already familiar with Internet marketing will find some value in Ebook Profits Unleashed. It doesn’t really reveal much in terms of industry secrets, per se, but it does bring together many useful resources and quick guides on how to produce an ebook. The onus is still, however, on you to produce a valuable ebook and to market it successfully.

Ebook Profits Unleashed sells for $47 and comes with a 60-day money-back guarantee.

Great e-book here — chock full of information that will help you turn that idea into a money maker! I picked this up last week and to say “what a great e-book” is an understatement. Personally I think this is well worth the $47. Great work Jesse!!

    1. Eric says:

FYI: fake comments shouldn’t be so over the top…

    2. Harry says:

ZOMG, this ebook saved my life!

  2. edgar says:

$47 thast to much. I would rather google for information. I bet if you sell it for at least 10 bucks people will buy.

    1. Javalate says:

I agree with edgar…$47 is to much for some people . perhaps you can split it into 2-3 part and sell it. if someone buy and read your first ebook and agree with Bella, i believe that he/she would buy your other ebook so in the end you”ll get what you want and so the reader.

    2. I agree that $47 is too much, but if we can earn a lot more then its worthy. Though I agree with Javalate that the e-book should have been split in 2-3 parts making it easy for people to buy it and buy another part only if they found useful the first one.

  3. Bella says:

$10? Paper costs $10..Anyway,after purchasing and reading this book I do believe NOW it’s well worth the investment. I was also skeptical about the $50 I had to drop for this, but know now its well worth it. Things I already knew have been broadened, and things I didnt, have now been an almost enlightening( ah ha!)experience for me..I appreciate this book and hope I can really utilize its material. Thanks!

    1. Why are you so defensive about the product?

I believe that you are the author, LOL.

      1. lulz…I was thinking the same thing with the first comment 😛

        1. Bella seems to be the same person as Eric who made the first two comments. There is skullduggery afoot here, that much is certain!

    2. Ivan Walsh says:

      Hi Bella,

I worked with Accenture a while back on price strategy.

One research finding was the link between education (or lack thereof) and the willingness to pay for information.

The more education the target segment had (e.g. min university degree), the more likely they were to ‘invest’ in books, courses, training etc.

Others saw these as an ‘expense’.

Maybe it’s less to do with ROI (and perception of value) and more to do with the target audience core values.

Some folks won’t ever spend a nickel online… but that’s their problem.

  4. Jesse Regan says:

I actually have no affiliate links in the free 180 page rolodex ebook, it is filled with tons of free places that people will find very useful in creating their own online products.

As far as EBOOK PROFITS UNLEASHED goes, I am extremely confident that I have over-delivered here. I would not get a review on a site like if I didn’t believe people would very much benefit from it.

If you have serious interest in making money online, product creation is an ideal avenue to take. This product along with the bonuses will get you there.

    1. I’ve been wanting to write an ebook targeting college students, but have just been haven’t had the free time needed…I’ll def look into this some more.

    2. Does the book cover marketing your ebook…such as listing it with networks?

      1. Bobby says:

It sure as heck does! form research to money in the bank!

  5. “an e-book on how to make money writing and selling e-books.” Kind of says it all 😉 SY

  6. Bobby says:

I picked this book up a few days ago and I’ve already finished the whole thing! It really seems like a great resource for a new learner like myself to implement quickly and effectively without having to go through the hassle of researching HOW to do it all myself. In the coming months Regan’s ebook is going to be my bible lol but hopefully it will be what I need to get going on my own ebook.

  7. Adrian A. says:

How do you sell ebooks in a country where almost everybody knows how to use torrents? 🙂

    1. Well it depends on people. Torrents are mostly harmful and full of viruses. If people want to be safe they should buy original goods. Even in countries where people know using torrents buy original goods!

  8. Nicole says:

After reading Ebook Profits Unleashed, I found it to be an essential tool in the ebook making process. I really appreciated how the information was concise, yet thorough. The fact that it was written in this way makes me feel at ease with the $47 it costs. It is obvious that this ebook is designed to get its readers to the success it promises in the speediest of manners. What a helpful tool!

  9. LAP Media says:

I think 47 is not too much; however, i really wanna know is this way will 100% sure be successes.
Moreover, where do we have to promote our e-books?
    Thank, you.

    1. Well $47 is too much for Indians here as it gets converted to Rupees and we have to shell a lot more! Anywhere no one can guarantee successes. But if you work hard according to as the e-book says, you will surely succeed. You can promote your e-books on popular blogs.

  10. chexsystems says:

$47 means a lot to me.Hopefully people who bought this would have learn something useful

  11. I am currently thinking of creating an ebook for my audience. Shall take a look at this.

    1. Ivan Walsh says:

      Hey Kelvin,

Ask them how much they’d pay before you price it. I know it sounds obvious but… helps to refine the sales pitch as well.

    2. Well when I started my blog I created a 10-15 page e-book which I gave for free to get readers! Well the amount of pages is equal to nil, but I liked the experience of writing an e-book!

  12. d3so says:

An ebook on making ebooks. Nice!
I don’t think I’ll be making any soon because of the time consuming process. Plus, for the ebook to sell you probably have to have same repoire/legitamacy or offer something remarkable.

  13. fas says:

Many things dont come free so you need to pay, right.

  14. enstine says:

Sometimes it’s not really what you spend that matters. Consider what you get from what you spend.

  15. eBooks have been widely touted as a means of inter alia building mailing lists for quite some time by the internet marketing gurus, so I don’t know how much new information there is to be had for the more seasoned internet marketeer, but for newbs it could be a worthwhile investment towards their education…..

  16. Rhys Davies says:

I think I can see a lot of comments from there owner under alias names here 😉

  17. Andrew says:

I like to download free eBooks. Paying for them is an alien concept that I need to get my head around. 🙂

    1. Even I love doing that! I’ve never bought paid e-books. Well if we can get the information on the web, I don’t think I should buy anything!

  18. This blog post was written in perfect time. I just finished my ebook and posted it on my blog but have no cover yet. I def need to make one with e cover maker.

Actually John, I’d like to see if you would be interested in telling your subscribers about this. Think they may enjoy it. Anyway, I’ll create the cover first and tell you more about it later.

  19. Kat Bush says:

I think having an EBook is the best thing ever. Mine is teaching how to make decorated lighted christmas glass blocks. I’m proud to say it’s the only one of it’s kind (for now). Even though it’s seasonal, it continues to sell well in multiple venues. Give it a try! I also help to write EBooks, so hit me up if you need some help. I created my EBook because I couldn’t find any instructions for my own use.

  20. Free Picks says:

$47 for 60 days are much high amount

  21. Mike says:

There are many places where you can download ebooks by dozens and change them a bit and sell it as your own. That way you dont have to create nothing new from scratch. There is this guy who sells that for $47 and 100 ebooks or you can pay $5 for each.

  22. scott says:

I guess the key is that this is not a marketing game or an SEO game, or anything. What we’re truly doing is no different than classic authoring. We are authors, not SEO tricky people

  23. Charla says:

I signed in a site for free lancer and I noticed how many projects there are for e-books so I decided I should give it a try, maybe I can learn some tricks and make some money. There is a lot of information on the internet, but just a little part is coherently organized so you waste a lot of time searching. But still, 47 bucks… In my country I think that everyone would have returned after reading, not because they don’t find it useful, but because it is expensive… mentality….

  24. Pratish says:

$47 is a bit much to pay but I think if it shows you how to do something constructive it’ll be worth it.. otherwise it’ll be just another get rich quick scheme

  25. Carissa says:

Coming from someone who hasn’t been happy in the jobs I’ve had in the past, I’m really enjoying all of the valuable information that this e-book has to offer. $47 is barely anything if it can teach me something I can finally enjoy while making money at the same time.
