One of the most common complaint (or excuse) I hear from potential new bloggers is they don’t know how to install WordPress. Terms like FTP and CPanel are like a foreign language and setting up a database might as well be setting up the space shuttle for a launch. Because of the technology barrier, many would-be bloggers never start their blogs...

Awesome thanks for Sharing this John! I really need to get started on a Tech blog.
John always shares useful things.. Except those pictures of foods in dot com phos.
Hey, nothing wrong with knowing where the good stuff is.
Besides, this site is “the miscellaneous ramblings”.
Do you really think that those photos of dot com pho is not useful ?
What’s new in telling Thans to John lol
hahaha. . .LOL
There are a lot of tech blog’s. Its nice to see a new one provided they are differentiated
I’ll have to watch it for pointers. I’m sure you don’t have to start a tech blog to use some of the info n the webinar.
This was the best one yet. I was so impressed I did a post right after it played. Thx John
Hey Kirk hows it going man?
Doing great! Are you heading to Blog World?
Have you watched flippa webinar ?
That was simply awesome.
Really it was Awesome
yes. it will definitely help me to write some topics..
Thanks John.. Downloading it for a later view.
I have seen a few people comment and say they are going to download it, I looked everywhere and did not see a download link.
Use keepvid.com to download it. First, click on the “YouTube” button in the lower left of the embedded video, this will pop a new tab or window with the YouTube page. Next, copy the video’s URL. Then go to KeepVid. Paste the URL where indicated at KeepVid, press enter. You then get a few download options for different quality settings. Just click one to download it.
I’m downloading it right now.
which plugin or software do you use to download.
Simply use Internet Download Manager.
Does everything
Great video,
thank you John
will be reviewd again’
We’ve just start a website that based on tech and money making, but still have no idea about the contents so this article and the video really help.
Thanks John.
You are confuse about the contents for tech related blog … Strange …
Just keep searching about any other tutorial out there,
Whoo Nice video john. I’m going to download it now and view it freely. Again nice dude.
Follow me on twitter
Do not forget to download flippa webinar as well.
A great video. Review site is the best way to earn good money from the net.
Review sites are really good if you find the product has low comp.
One of the many problems people have is not being able to come up with the start up capital to run all of the background services everyone doesn’t mention like autoresponder, paid traffic, web development for custom themes, graphic design for logo, etc.
I think it would be useful to many of your blog readers if you gave us a webinar detailing different ways to turn small amounts of cash into bigger chunks, say $100 into $1000 using things like site flipping, domain buying/selling, etc.
I’m really interested in turning a free Google $100 adwords credit into something much bigger, much like the ebay story of a guy who traded-up a paperclip to a house.
Yes, I agree with you Jeffrey! If its more possible to a zero capital that will boost could be a very very very big help! Anyway, could it be possible that there are free google adwords credit around?? If so, where??
Not that it wouldn’t be a useful webinar, but most people use free services until they can afford to invest in the paid services (including everyone in the video).
JohnChow.com ran on the free Misty Theme for Wordpress for a couple of years at least (correct me if I’m wrong John) before getting any sort of customization by a designer.
Flipping sites and domaining can be fun and profitable, but what matters most in the beginning, if not always (in building a successful website) is quality content and actually caring.
Starting a site today is MUCH easier than it was 10 years ago. Everything that we paid for then is free today
thanks for the video John. I’m really interested in starting a tech blog.
Go for it
I’d be interested in seeing it when it launches! Keep me updated!
Then start for that, maybe you could find your future on starting a tech blog.
AWesome chow!

One thing that always made me refrain from starting a review blog in any tech niche is I felt it would be too time consuming to keep up with all the new developments. If you’re really into it, fine, you’d be doing that anyway. But if you’re only half interested like me it would be too much of a chore.
A good Webinar is like a fine wine. You can taste its quality. Need I say more?
absolutely
Always enjoys his tips, really very useful! Thank for sharing these, will come in handy in my lectures
Thanks John,
Like you said the advice can be used for any type of niche.

I would like to say thanks for the interesting video…..
Also thanks for the tip to starting blog…I am speech less to say something about this post.really awesome…
interesting informative video, thanks John
Thanks a lot john
As Always
non-sequitor question: How in the world can you upload an hour long video to YouTube?
I am a YouTube partner. I have a no time limit. Just an upload limit of 20GB per video, which I think works out to over 8 hours of HD content. lol
Thanks for the replay. My wife made me stop and eat dinner so I missed the first twenty-minutes. I still wear the pants in the house despite this.
And that makes money as well …
My 50 videos even dont make 20Gb lol
That was amazing length of video, LOL
Thanks John.
nice vid, thx for replay
Thanks for the replay. I missed the first showing so this definitely makes up for lost time.
Very useful video. I learned a lot from it.
Thanks for sharing John, I’m glad I can catch the rerun as I can’t always make it to the live version. Helpful info as always.
This video comes at a great time, as I can be even better equipped to help my grandmother start her travel advice blog, as well as continuing to develop my blog.
Awesome thanks for Sharing this John! I really need to get started on a Tech blog.
Then go for it..

I LOVE stories of other bloggers who are starting out. I always learn something new, pick up another idea or gain a fresh perspective. Thank you for the video and organizing the panel.
That’s for sure! I have learned so much by listening to others, both new and seasoned (such as John Chow).
haven’t finished watching – but taking notes – good tips to apply to any model – not just a tech review blog
i hear a lot of the same common sense advice – like quality over quantity… and more importantly – why? why are you doing this? do you have a passion for the niche or are you just in it for a quick buck?
Thanks thanks thanks John. Very useful video
Nice video! it gives me idea. Thanks John!

Awesome thanks for Sharing this John! I really need to get started on a Tech blog.
Thank you very much for embedding the video. First i read the post before the event and i felt that i can’t watch it. Just browsed normally and found the video, I am very much happy. And as of now I do have no such much time to watch the video, so i put the download n catch up later.
Hey John,
Nice content. I always find the info you present very helpful especially about blogging.
We’ve been doing a lot of free webinars and paid web seminars lately. After testing 20+ webinar providers we finally settled on Ready Talk. It’s much easier to use than GoTo Meeting especially when you have multiple presenters and I think you’ll like it better.
You can check it out here: http://meet.readytalk.com/content/PPCSummit. We are NOT affiliates for this, we’ve just been very happy with their product so I thought I’d share
Cheers, Mary
ha – ignore my last comment, found the replay now (still catching up on my rss reader after being away for a week)
Great pointers for tech and review blog. These should be watched by everyone about to start new tech blog. Thanks for the share!
