I don’t really use Firefox

written by John Chow on December 1st, 2005

I’ve been fooling around with the themes available for Wordpress. The choices are quite overwhelming. Right now I’ve settle on the Firefox theme. While I do have Firefox on my computer I don’t really use it. For me Internet Explorer is still my default browser. Don’t get me wrong, I like Firefox but I just prefer IE. I think people get too bent out of shape with some of their MS bashing.

Face it, IE is the #1 browser on the web and nothing is going to change that anytime soon. However, Firefox has a much better logo. The fox looks good. :)

    Firefox is great!

  2. You may like Firefox and I like it too but I still feel more comfortable with IE. I do find that over 30% of visitors to The TechZone are Firefox users so that’s why I run it as well. Have to make sure the site looks good for Firefox users.

Firefox is great when used as a standalone web browser. But in a lot of ERP spaces, Inernet Explorer is the only choice when it comes to cross functionality within mission-critical processes of a business.

It really sucks when going to a site that obviously has not considered Firefox. I just like the tabbed browsing.

  6. Help me please…
I just installed Firefox 2.0, and all of a sudden, my username/password isn't being inserted in the signon window (it always was before). I tried the usual suspects–I did not mistakenly tell FF not to remember the password for this site; and I also tried the remember password bookmarklet, but all to no avail–FF will not ask me to remember this password. What do I need to do to get around this?

  7. Please add firefox cookies/bad web sites immunization in next version!
Firefox 2 cannot reject third party cookies!!!!!!!!

I just don’t get it. What on IE makes you stick with it? Some years ago, I’d say one reason was websites compatibility, but nowadays I don’t know about even one public website that just doesn’t work with ff..

  9. I am in the same boat as you. I used to use Firefox all of the time, but now I find myself using IE7. The features seem to be decent for a “stock” browser. The big issuse with IE is the memory usage, Yeah Firefox used to use alot of memory but with FF 2.0 most of the problems have been solved. I’m all for freeware but I think just maybe Micro$oft has Mozilla beat.

  10. I guess things changed *cough* here

  11. yes , like i say before , i prefer firefox then other , because fire fox just like wordpress that has so many plugin / add ons
