I Have Six Passes to Blog World Expo! Who Wants One?

Blog World Expo

Blog World Expo happens October 15 to 17 in Las Vegas. I’ve been attending this event since it started back in 2007 and the 2009 event promises to be the biggest one yet. Blog World is first and only industry-wide tradeshow, conference, and media event dedicated to promoting the dynamic industry of new media. Blog World Expo features the largest new media conference in the world including more than 50 seminars, panel discussions and keynotes from iconic personalities on the leading-edge of online technology and internet-savvy business.

I will be speaking at the “Blogger Super Panel” with Shoemoney, Zac Johnson and Mr. Problogger, Darren Rowse. Imagine four of the biggest name in blogging in the same room! We had a standing room only session last year and we expect another full house this year. If you’re a blogger, you’ll want be at Blog World Expo next month! How To Enter

To enter for a chance at winning a pass to Blog World Expo, simply write a blog post on why you should win and what you hope to get out of the event. Your post should link back to this post and to BlogWorldExpo.com. Linking to this post should automatically send a track back so I can check it out. If the track back doesn’t work, enter the post link in the comments. Don’t have a blog? No problem. You can post your entry in the comments. Make it a good one!

The winners will be awarded passes based on the quality of their entries. The deadline for entering is Friday, September 11. You should only enter if you can attend. I am only giving away the passes. I am not paying for your hotel or travel cost (but I might buy you dinner). Make sure you got those costs covered before entering. Good luck!

  1. I will have to check my schedule to see if I should create a blog post…

Haha and I thought you need to check your schedule to see whether you can come?

      1. Mindes does not have time to write a blog post, how can he mage a day out for blog world expo.

        1. Blogging says:

Sometimes it is more beneficial to write a blog post than actually to go to an event like Blog World Expo πŸ˜‰ SY

  2. LetUpdate says:

I can only wait the report in your blog because it to far from my country. πŸ˜€

    1. There are many people for whom John’s blog is one resource only.

      1. LetUpdate says:

i bet that it has. πŸ˜€

  3. The events in the US really make me jealous, as I live in South Africa, and attending events entails flying halfway around the globe, forking out local currency that has a poor exchange rate and having to live in hotels where the daily rate approaches my monthly rent over here!

I look forward to reading all about Blog World Expo & hopefully watching some video clips on on the various blogs I follow though.

    1. I think you should grab more and more rich clients so that they can pay you good money for website design.

But friend … problem is your industry also have tough competition and few people can do the task at very minimal rate.

  4. MLDina says:

I’ll be there- and may even consider giving a ticket away to the MarketLeverage VIP…we’ll see.

    1. Are you trying to tempt me?

    2. Jami says:

ohh!!! I’m taking a shot! Already got my flight booked but without a blogworld ticket yet. I’m glad I’m holding off. Say hello to your next pass winner!

    3. Jami says:

Hey John! It’s me! Miss $45 per night hotel budget for BlogWorld.

I know you can’t help upgrade my hotel room but a free pass would sure help out! Blog post surely to follow. πŸ™‚

      1. MLDina says:

There’s quite a few hotel steals if you don’t mind staying off the strip (though the strip is offering great specials as well).

  5. Good Morning John
Guess I’m the first one in your time zone to respond to the contest. I wrote my blog post .. I really, really deserve the pass .. My hotel is booked and I’m waiting for an airline seat sale .. Even if I don’t win the contest .. See you there!

  6. I’d take it if it’s in Australia πŸ™

It’s in Las Vegas? That’s cool! Not to mention that you are going to meet other great bloggers like Darren

    1. Yes this is going to be explosive event.

I look forward to seeing your panel, again, this year, John. I don’t need a pass, since I’ll be speaking, but I want to encourage your readers to get posting! This is a fantastic event and worth the time to write a little post in hopes of getting a free pass!

  9. Wow, What an opportunity. It sounds like it would be a blast getting to meet other bloggers and find out how the big name bloggers do what they do!

  10. EarningStep says:

what a price , the place is to far from my country . that’s to bad

    1. Yes this is the normal case in internet world … but do not worry John will add videos of this event so that you can get an idea what kind of event it was.

      1. Teen money says:

Well we are all waiting for John to add the videos of the event and his lively post about the event. He provides the essence of the expo in his blog posts. So waiting for it now.

  11. Zac Johnson says:

This will be another awesome event and panel! See you all there.

    1. John Chow says:

It’s awesome because we’re speaking at it! πŸ˜€

      1. I think Darren and Jeremy should also comment on this post … or may be reply here. That this will be really awesome …

  12. Benjamin Cip says:

Well, It’s too far away from my country…

  13. I wish that I could go…. I’m sure within the upcoming years I’ll finally be able to go to Blogworld expo. There’s plenty of other conferences to go to locally though.

  14. Amanda says:

Ooh ooh pick me! I would love to attend blog world! I have never been before and I am uber jealous of all the people who are already signed up to attend. I live and work in the beautiful state of Maine with small and medium sized businesses helping them outline and execute their blogging, social media and reputation management strategies. I absolutely love my job and the process with each client. Unfortunately it is not in our budget to purchase a pass for blog world. I promise to be a good attendee and write at least 4 amazing blogs about the event. I will also buy you a tasty drink with a pretty umbrella in it! I think the experience would be so valuable! Thanks for the contest and consideration! Did I mention I am a lot of fun?
Thanks so much! Amanda aka @amanda_pants

  15. NurseWendy says:

Great contest! Me and my girls already bought our passes and are going to BlogWorld for the first time. Which sessions you would recommend for newcomers?

    1. Well saw your blog … so you are three girls …

Like your blog and I think there is no such blog with so much details and all.

Nice to see that … πŸ™‚

      1. But why you are not updating this.

Last post was on the month of February.

This is the thumb rule of blogging … everyday you should keep posting and posting.

        1. NurseWendy says:

The video was our intro video from when we started the blog in February. If you look to the post below you’ll see our last post was on August 29, 2009. So we do update a few times a week but you’re right between us three we should post more often πŸ™‚

  16. Donny Gamble says:

    Hello John,

We meet at the Affiliate Summit and me and my partner our planning on attending Blog World in Vegas, but don’t yet have our tickets.

I believe I deserve to win a ticket because I am looking forward to meeting some of the top bloggers in the industry and also learning about some effective marketing and blogging strategies.

This will be my very first time going to Vegas and I hope to meet a lot of people as well as have a good time while I’m there.

If I win the ticket, I plan to recommend you to all of my marketing buddies along with chillin with you at Blog world.

Once again I would like to thank you for the opportunity to have a chance to win some great prizes by being an active reader of your blog

  17. Even looks kind of dull, honestly.

  18. Ben Jacques says:

Hey John. First time commenter. I’m a big fan of your blog and unfortunately I wouldn’t even be able to attend the event because of college coming up but I thought I’d leave my reason anyway. Who knows, you may even find it interesting.

My name is Ben Jacques and I’m an 18 year old graphic designer. I started my career when I was 15 when I was hired to design a logo for a real estate agency in Florida and a mortgage firm in England. I have since gone on to design for over 10 companies in 3 countries. I am an eagle scout, was voted most artistic in my school, and have donated designs to churches, school organizations and local parks.

Recently I created http://www.logoflare.com which is a blog about graphic design, making money online, and it also showcases my portfolio. As a kid I was always told that art didn’t matter and that it wouldn’t get me anywhere in life. I ignored the critics and realized that blogging would really allow me to express myself freely and unleash my art for all the world to see. It’s become a passion of mine and I love that I learn more and more about designing the more I blog. It’s a win win situation.

If I were to attend the event I would mostly look forward to meeting you and Darren Rowse. The two of you have been a huge inspiration to me and I am constantly on your websites looking for new information about blogging every single day. I have so much respect for those that have made blogging their main income stream and your hard work and success really inspires me to try to raise my blog to the next level. You seem like a really down to earth guy who doesn’t put fame and wealth above your family and I respect that greatly. I’d love to hear from all of the other famous bloggers at the event and I know I would just be sitting there taking notes the whole time, on the edge of my seat, listening to all the amazing advice they have to give.

So that’s my reasoning. I wish I could enter that and win some tickets but unfortunately I can’t miss college classes or I will fail out, and we don’t want that to happen. If you have any advice for me, I’d be more than willing to take it. Thanks πŸ™‚

  19. Jami says:

hmmm…. my comment got filtered? bummer…

Anyway, a blog post will be written pronto! Thanks JC for the opportunity.

  20. Hey John …

    Hello John,

First I want to thank you for being you, John Chow and sharing your knowledge and information with the rest of us. The company I have worked for for 22 years anounced on Decemember 9 at 9:05 am that it was shutting its doors. I did not know what to do or think. In January I was searching on line and found you. You along with Shoemoney,Zac Johnson,Darren Rowse and others have opened my mind to a whole new way of thinking. Since that day I have befriended you and the others on facebook and I follow you all on twitter. You have given me the hope and knowledge to realiaze that there are others ways to generate income besides building ofice furniture.(Maybe I made your chair) I am learning everyday and have found my true passion in blogging, social media and the like. I have signed up for Yaro blogging class and love it. If I am chosen to recieve one of the passes to Blogword it would truly be life changing. I plan on attending but because money is tight I will have to go with the exhibit only pass. I have a true hunger for knowledge and I can not wait to absorb more at this years BlogWorld. Meeting and learning from you and the other internet gurus would truly be a highlight of my life. I hope that you will consider me for one of the BlogWorld passes it would truly be a blessing to me and my family. Thank you again John and I hope to meet you and the others soon

  40. Ok, John…hopefully I made it in under the wire!! It’s 9pm AZ time so still considered Sept 11th here! πŸ™‚

Thanks for the opportunity to win!! Just in case the linkback doesn’t work, you can check out my post here:

My Dearest John: The bigger question is why wouldn’t I want to attend the Blog World Expo? As a neophyte blogger and an intellectual sponge, I want to chat with the mastersβ€”those who know about creating great content, successful marketing and all the technical goodies available to help make blog sites valuable to and helpful for readers. Nowhere else will I find all the brilliant minds of blogging in one location. It’s like the Blog Gods descended and made a clerisy sundae with a cherry on top…with whipped cream. Also, if you pick me, I’ll bring chocolate. Thanks for your consideration.

  42. John,

I submitted my blog post entry last night, I Will Hug 500 People For A BlogWorld Pass and that means if I win the full access pass, I’ve calculated I will need to hug 167 attendees each day of the conference.

    Good luck to everyone!

  43. Kristin says:

Ok, I’ve got my blog post written. Hope you like the photo, lol!
