In The February Issue of Entrepreneur Magazine

Build Your Online Business Now

I am featured in the February issue of Entrepreneur magazine. You should be able to find it at your local newsstands now. My article is on page 52. Thanks goes out to Eten Blog and Image Gag for providing me with scans of the article.

Being featured by Entrepreneur is indeed an honor and represents my first ever international tier 1 magazine coverage. The value this will add to my brand is immeasurable. Mike Hogan did a great job on the article and summed up what I’m all about perfectly.

His blog remains a somewhat banal combination of his money count and what he had for lunch–the blogging equivalent of Seinfeld, the show “about nothing.”

The article reveals more information than I really wanted to give. However, it was required in order to get the interview. If you want to know how to get a major magazine or newspaper to tell your story, then check out my post on How To Get Old World Media Coverage.

Head down to your local newsstand and pick up an issue or read it online.

Gr8 going John

It's now spread though Entrepreneur.com mailing list and available online at entrepreneur.com

yahhhhh! Good for you! Great for you! I like reading your reviews and the experience of fine dining especially when you mention your daughter with you, that's great. congrats, Lisa

Congrats John. That's really cool! I also read about you a while back in the Vancouver Sun.

Hey John I found your blog as a result of the article. I came across it last nite at Borders. I've been looking for a better way to make money. I'll be researching your site more for the next few days. Keep doing your thing.

Congrats John. Very well deserved!

Yeah they wanted to do an interview with me but I turned them down. ;)

Congrats John!

The Mad Ape

Congratulations.
Nice Job.

I just picked up tha mag an hour ago or so and besides the article about John, there's one on how to become a billionaire. Maybe that's John's next step.

Congrats on the article. It does, however, bring me back to the anti-blog sentiment at CES...

"Blogging isn't just a pastime or marketing gambit anymore; it's a living."

Quite a revelation - any chance this article was written in 2001? Could print media be any further behind the times?

Congratulations on the feature. I look forward to reading the print version.

Congrats John! Nice Job.

Congrats John, quality pic!

well done John. You really deserve it from the success you achieve from blogging. Cheers!

Congrats John, just read the article then :)

Congrats, John! You deserve it!

Best,
Vijay Zanvar

Congrats evil John Chow :)

-Mike

Congratulations on this achievement John! Just read the online article and it was very well done.

How about have a connection with the editor or owner of the local magazine, does that help in getting a slot in the magazine !?
;)

The quote and the pic are both great. Congratulations on the exposure. Perhaps you should celebrate by trying out another new dining location.....

Hey John

The online article mis-spelled TTZ media as "TZZ" media network.
Spotted the error at the last second paragraph where they mentioned TechZone.

Just being on page 53 of a credible publication is whats important, typos don't matter much so long as they get his name and image right. This will look very nice in his trophy case and it is something that other bloggers can't replicate easily.

Being recognized is the blogging stuff of legends, typos or not!

When you get a site logo for JohnChow.com I see you on the cover of Maxim and Fortune Magazines next. I loaded you up on some test copies (Clicky for test copy image) and... lookin good! Go get em panda!

one day I am going to make that magazine too so look for me John Chow get the name Allen Johnson engraved in everyone minds because I am going to be one most popular internet icons

Well - the picture is certainly different. I bet there were a few curtain twitchers in your street on that day.

Congrats!! Must feel good? : )

Hey John,

Very nice indeed, how old are you by the way?

Nice job John, I actually picked up this article today and it was a great read. Keep up the good work.

Just read the article on-line...Great job. 42 and $1 million a year...yeah, I'd be happy too!!!

That was a good article. That really inspired me.

Congrats John. You know you've reached success when you hit mainstream media.

Congrats John, just picked up myself a copy... now where do I send this copy to get it autographed? :)
Blake

Congrats John! That's how I found your site. I wish you (and everyone else here  ) a lot of continued success. I look forward to reading it everyday.

Mark

Nice job... but who would've thought you were 42

I expect to see some good traffic here so not to be the advertising and marketing expert, I think John's 125x125 banners is a prime spot to advertise at right now :)

With or without being featured in this article, advertising on this blog has always been prime online real estate. We are talking about 15k RSS subscribers to start with.

Exactly, while the fact that he has been featured will be great as far as branding is concerned, I doubt that we will see ad prices skyrocket as a result.

Alan Johnson

Hey Alan Johnson, I thought I'd only last a few minutes at the top there until you got in about 10 more comments. Is that all you do all day?

Meanwhile, at the other end, I'm trying to hold my position at the bottom.

Congratulations John! That was a great opportunity for you and your blog!

Steve

Awesome. Ijust commented about this yesterday. The article is great!

It was a great article that I read last week and am surprise that you did not know that you were featured in this article! Don't they inform those they would be highlighting at publishing? It seems not .. but the tips were great and I have that article open at my desk since last 4 days. Had not visited your site before but am liking it a lot now !
Thanks for all your tips there is so much to learn from so many of you. Thanks for sharing!

This is nothing short of awesome!

Congratulations John on getting in the magazine :!:

John! Congratulations! Well done!

Holy crap, John is 42?????

Like there is something wrong with being 42?

Hey! We're the same age?
He looks a lot younger than me!

Nah I just figured he was younger, like early 30s for some reason. Now I find out he's an old fogie.
