I am featured in the February issue of Entrepreneur magazine. You should be able to find it at your local newsstands now. My article is on page 52. Thanks goes out to Eten Blog and Image Gag for providing me with scans of the article.
Being featured by Entrepreneur is indeed an honor and represents my first ever international tier 1 magazine coverage. The value this will add to my brand is immeasurable. Mike Hogan did a great job on the article and summed up what I’m all about perfectly.
His blog remains a somewhat banal combination of his money count and what he had for lunch–the blogging equivalent of Seinfeld, the show “about nothing.”
The article reveals more information than I really wanted to give. However, it was required in order to get the interview. If you want to know how to get a major magazine or newspaper to tell your story, then check out my post on How To Get Old World Media Coverage.
Head down to your local newsstand and pick up an issue or read it online.

Congrats John! I’ll pick up a copy this afternoon.
Congrats John! I am going to the bookstore right now!
Grande John, more grease to your elbows
Yeah, this kind of recognition is kinda a big deal. Congrats.
Its not “kinda a big deal” its a big deal. How many bloggers do you know featured in entrepreneur magazine
I agree, it is something which basically shows everyone that John’s work is appreciated. Reaching this status wasn’t easy for him, but in the end, all of his efforts paid off.

Hey John, love the picture! I’ll have to go pick up a copy of the magazine at our local B&N when I get the chance. Congratulations.
True that, the picture is great. It gives me the impression of something like “This is my own street” and “This is where i started from”
The whole work from home attitude. Great pic and good article.
Really? I’m not a fan of the picture, because it just comes off looking so odd. Who, in their right mind, would be wheeling around in a driveway, sitting in their office chair? It just looks too artificial, too contrived.
The pic is kind artsy, sort of like the food that he blogs about. It definitely will get people’s attention rather that just seeing some guy sitting behind a desk.
Congratulations, and the picture is great.
congrats!
So, you are making around $1 mil annually. Not bad.
i seriously thought he was making more…
I’d be happy with the $1 million though. Heck, I’d be happy with what he makes here at the blog.
Remember TTZ Media is in its early stages therefore, when it starts to get an increase in publishers…he will see a nice rise.
Considering he runs a handful of sites its nice
TTZ Media should do well, I’m starting to see it on more and more blogs.
great job,congratulations.
Impressive John. I envy your success!
Congratz John! So if you blog for dollars, I blog for penny then
Pennies? Heck, I almost made a quarter yesterday!
But, we’re not supposed to talk about our failures, right? Just successes?
Okay, then, I made lots of pennies yesterday!
Nice work man!
Hi John
I never expected a linkback but am thankful for it. Thank you.
John…you are seriously BIG-TIME NOW! Keep pushing yourself…keep up the incredible pace!
He will most likely not stop here and, personally, I see him achieving some more than worthwhile results with TTZMedia as well.

Was bit surprised when I was flipping through and there you were. Congrats!
You can also read it on the entrepreneur.com site. I found the article by searching your name on the site. It just doesn’t have the great picture.
I would never have guessed you were that old - maybe your next blog should be about keeping in shape!!

Congrats John!
Amazing article. Mike did a very good job. I especially like the “His blog is the equivalent of Seinfeld. Its about nothing.”.
Congratulations John! Any chance you’ll be giving away any signed copies? I’m going to head out and buy a copy today.
I was thinking the same thing. It would be nice to get a signed copy from John wouldn’t it. How about a contest for a few copies?
Great idea!
congrats on the article.
Kudos John, now watch that RSS subscriber count EXPLODE
Awesome article. Congrats!
John,
You mentioned in your post “The article reveals more information than I really wanted to give.”
I didn’t read anything in the article that you haven’t already told us except that you use over 100 ad networks. Is this what you are referring to?
Keep up the good work. You have inspired a lot of people to pursue their passion and make a living online.

“Chow’s revenue streams are closing in on $1 million annually”
John has never said how much the TTZ makes, now we know its around $700,000 if the blog makes $300,000.
I too thought the TTZ was a bigger income source but a cool mill is nice by anyones standards. Keep that up for a few years and you’re sorted.
He revealed that he spends 5-10% on hosting. He got a server for $3,000/month therefore TTZ Media was making at least $60,000/month.
Note: I got this information from an earlier blog post.
Well this is only the beginning, TTZMedia has the potential bringing in a lot more in terms of profits and his income level for 2008 will most likely be far more impressive.

Congratulations John, you deserve it.
But I’m wondering which information in the Article, you were replying to as being “to much”. I was looking for the bone in the article, but found most of the article, to be repeats of old stuff
“The article reveals more information than I really wanted to give.”
Now, there’s a hook!
wow that’s so cool. nice read, but what was the info you didn’t want to share? I didn’t see anything too personal except your revenue.
He doesn’t make 1 mil annually.. John inflates his numbers immensly to get you to think he is more successful than he really is to get you to buy his stuff/click his ads to make him more money. HES USING ALL OF YOU.
Using your real name gives you credibility. Having an alias gives you a little less. Having no name at all, well…
Thanks for the mention John. Congrats again.
Congratulations John
Congrats John! You’re an inspiration
Holy crap, John is 42?????

Like there is something wrong with being 42?
Hey! We’re the same age?
He looks a lot younger than me!
Nah I just figured he was younger, like early 30s for some reason. Now I find out he’s an old fogie.
