Increase Your Blog Traffic With BlogRush
Traffic Equals Money
Let’s face it, without traffic it’s pretty hard for a blog to make any money. The more traffic you have, the more money you make. Everyone wants more traffic and we’re always looking for more ways to get it. Internet Marketing kingpin, John Reese, has came up a great way to help your blog get more traffic.
BlogRush is a “Cooperative Syndication Network” that rewards its users for their contributions to the network. BlogRush was designed to be incredibly viral and to provide its users with tremendous distribution leverage to receive exposure for their blog content that they could never achieve on their own; at least without a massive advertising budget.

The BlogRush Widget
By adding the BlogRush Widget to your blog, you get instant distribution for their latest blog post titles across a network of related blogs. BlogRush users earn “syndication credits” (the right to have their blog post titles shown inside a widget on another related blog) based on their own traffic as well as the traffic of other users they refer to BlogRush.
Let’s say you run the BlogRush widget and your blog gets 1000 views per day. That means headlines from your blog will be viewed 1000 times on other blogs running the BlogRush widget. What’s more, if you refer another blog to the network and they do 1000 page views per day, you’ll get your headline shown another 1000 times. This goes down for ten generations. The following video will explain how the system works.

Seems like it is becoming popular this BlogRush i read it all over the net.
Reply to this commentI seen it all over too on dozens of blogs already. I am thinking of using it myself.
It sound great, but I will test it for a week or 2 to see if it really works.
Reply to this commentOh i have added it but it looks a bit ugly on the layout. Will give it 1 week time, if the ugliness doesn’t repay in traffic i will have to say Bye Bye Rush Out of my Blog
Reply to this commentYeah. totally agree.. everything should be tested. You always have the option to Stop it at a later date
Reply to this commentYea, you’ll need to let us know how this pans out for you.. you’ll be displaying a ton, and then you should be getting a ton of views on others’ blogs, etc… I wonder what the clickthrough is on it.
Reply to this commentreally?? hmm. Big ups to them. Hopefully Blogging the Movie can share the piece of this pie.
Reply to this commentA lot of new blogs are trying this new blog rush and even some big guys like YOU and dosh dosh have added it to their site. Personally I see you giving more traffic than you would actually recive. I haven’t added this on my site yet I’ll wait for you guys to try it out to see if it’s worth it or not
Reply to this commentHow can you give more than you get? You show the widget 100 times, you headline shows up in the widget on other blogs 100 times. That’s 1 to 1. Mind you, you are showing five headlines in the widget and only get 1 headline back.
Reply to this commentI believe that with blogrush the winners are going to always be those that have more traffic (and those that have headlines appearing in those heavy traffic sites). Anyway it is worth the try, after all the visitors remain in your site even if they click on the headlines since it opens in a new tab/window.
Reply to this commentThat was my gut feeling as well. Things like this (Webring etc) always tend to end up benefiting the big guys the most. I might give it a go for a month, just on the nothing to lose principal.
Reply to this commentInteresting. But with most of these schemes you always give more than you get, but they pad the rest with ’special’ customers, or advertisments, or whatever.
Reply to this commentThis is true. I hope this turns out good. Thanks JC.
Reply to this commentI think it’s more like 1:5 instead of 1:1. You display a widget that shows 5 links at a time. But on somebody elses blog, your link gets shown once.
You generate 100 impressions and you get back 100; sounds like 1:1 but it’s not because you’re displaying 5 links for every impression. Anything with a referral reward system like that can’t operate if it’s 1:1.
Reply to this commentHey John:
You might want to look into this a little bit. I just saw your *own* posts advertised on your *own* blogrush… Better hope they don’t count that as one of your impressions.. Seriously.. “hey, we will give you 1:1 views on the widget (plus 4 others).. oh.. and to guarentee that.. we will just put your own blog posts on your own widget, so we still get 4 free adspots on your blog”
Hopefully its just a fluke, but it is a bit shady.. unless they dont count those as shows of your blog.
Reply to this commentHi Shaun - don’t you mean “especially” the big guys? The blogs that already get heaps of traffic are the ones who will benefit most from this gadget so they have a vested interest in promoting it.
Their posts are going to show up more on this gadget because they’re already getting thousands of page views a day.
Reply to this commentand why that referal link…
the website also does not look professional
looks like a money earning kind of website??
Reply to this commentlol!
Reply to this commentok sorry
i was watching something else…
got the actual one..
Reply to this commenthappens to me all the time too….;)
Reply to this commentJohn, you and I are on the same mind set today. I just made a post about this to go live next Thursday. In the mean time I’ll try it out and see how much traffic it brings me.
Reply to this commentI am sure your referrals for BlogRush will blow AglocoJoko away, huh?
Reply to this commentI kinda wish they had different choices for widgets, not just one size. I am also hesitant to add something to my site that would make it slower.
Reply to this commenti joined under shoemoneys link.
Reply to this commentYeah, I picked it up through Daily Blog Tips but they aren’t going to put it on their site. I’m new enough that I’m ecstatic about it.
Reply to this commentHow is this that much different than http://www.TheGoodBlogs.com?
Reply to this commentOk, this is wierd. I just added the widget to my site but when I visited the 5 links shown in my widget I didn’t see it installed on ANY of the sites…???
Vic
Reply to this commentI noticed that also. In fact, I noticed for the Finance and Investment category - the stories don’t change.
Reply to this commentHmm.. awkward. I hope this fix this problem
Reply to this commentIt has just launched… they likely need more sites
Reply to this commentPerhaps they are just pulling random headlines from anywhere until they get enough of a user base.
Reply to this commentI was one of the first people to write a review about this. Too bad I wasn’t one of the top 10 to post a comment on his blog to win his free eBook.
Anyway, I think BlogRush will be a success in the future. We’ll just have to wait and see.
Reply to this commentIt is funny how things kinda go back to old ideas on the net. The idea of this cross promotional sharing thing goes way back. Hell, it probably found its roots in webrings, then moved on to the traffic sharing stuff.. way oldschool.. But now it has moved in.. Any idea what this module is? Flash, JS, rendered serverside? Reasoning being the potential SEO benefits from running it…. as well as clicking benefits…
Reply to this commentI believe it will be a success as well for the plain reason that its a one setup solution. Just install a widget and your done. I just hope it does what it says it will do .. by changing the links of post each time you refresh.
Reply to this commentJohn I’m really tired of hearing you contradict yourself on your blog, first traffic equals more money, then it doesn’t, now it does again…. your a joke just as much as your website is.
Reply to this commentHaha.
Reply to this commentNot that I agree or disagree, but it’s just funny how you said that without any hesitation. You actually WANT people to know what you think of John Chow.
Reply to this commentHmmm whatever you think, John Chow is earning 17k a month. You cannot deny that he makes money. His tagline is the RAMBLINGS of a dot com mogul. He has not detered from this fact. He is a mogul. He talks about whatever he wants. Take them as they come.
Reply to this commentWhere did he say that traffic doesn’t equal money?
Reply to this commentThere was a post John made with graphs, where he was showing how his traffic was decreasing and the earnings were increasing.
But we all know what he wanted to say with that.
Reply to this commentThe kicking Google gave me didn’t hurt my income?
Reply to this commentNope it is the post Are you getting the maximum dollar of your ad space where John was actually speaking about HOW do you sell your ads (he didn’t said that actually traffic does not count at all, he just said that it depends on HOW you sell that ad spot).
Reply to this commentCareful Jeff, that’s a big wave to ride in this cultlike pool.
I have been reading other blogs today where folks are defending John against what the author of the other blogs are saying about him.
John is being called out as a scammer again this week:
http://www.debohobo.com/2007/09/16/john-chow-getting-slammed-again/
I am still saving up for a review…
Reply to this commentIt appears that John Chow has quite the cult following and that would explain why no matter what Chow does here on his site it will reverberate through the SEO and ‘Online Marketing’ “blogs” (and I use that term loosely) and pollute the net with more boring ReviewMe reviews or free giveaways? I don’t understand why people come so that is why I bid you all farewell, I shall not be making my return to JohnChow dot com anytime soon. P.S your little bit with Leo Laporte was so awkward hahaha keep it to behind the monitor.
Reply to this commentCheers you evil s.o.b
The day you understand why people come to this blog is the day you will have a successful blog.
Reply to this commentDon’t worry he’ll be back, they always comeback. You are an addiction!
Reply to this commenttrying this out, it’s got a nice design to it
Reply to this commentIt does. Extremely simple
Reply to this commentits a bug, step on it.
Reply to this commentmmm.. I don’t think this is such a good idea… after all only sites with big traffic will get real benefit from it. If you write great content but your site does not get much traffic then this tool wont help you with that.
Reply to this commentI will be launching a tool that does exactly the opposite real soon
That is generally what sites John talks about. Remember Agloco?
Reply to this commentThis is true.. But this is related content
Reply to this commentYeah. I signup under your network. Cheers.
Reply to this commentYes,i rushed myself into this as well! see what it brings
Reply to this commentIt is another nicely packaged traffic exchange program. You get one blog post title link (BPTL) impression for five BPTL impressions you offer to the network (the widget has five BPTL).
Does anyboby remember LinkExchange? In the old days porn sites used to come up with all kinds of link and traffic exchange programs.
However, the first movers always have advantages. So, it is not a bad idea to sign up and test the results.
Reply to this commentI echo screenRant about the weirdness of Blogrush, I installed it on my site too but when I clicked the links on the widget it brought me to blogs without the Blogrush widget
, any ideas?
Reply to this commentThey’re ripping RSS feeds of sites without the widget until they get enough sites on board to make unique links a possibility?
Reply to this commentThe blog that earns your credits (where you place the widget) need not be the same blog that provide the feeds. i.e. There’s no stopping you from submitting a FEED URL from a blog without the widget. You just earn your credits from another blog that display the widget that’s all. I cover that in my squidoo lens @ http://www.squidoo.com/blogrush . Feel free to contribute in it. Thanks, Hans.
Reply to this commentI joined this and let’s how what it can do for my blog
Reply to this commentI like the idea of Blog Rush but the little widget that you have to put on your blog is not very attention seeking. It should be more bigger and without the border.
Reply to this commentNo, it should just be customizable. That would get a lot more people to use it.
Reply to this commentYep I found this earlier today and have it posted on blog too.
Seems like a great service. I hope all this noise builds their network well enough to benefit all of us.
http://abhishek.tiwari.com/2007/09/15/blogrush-a-pyramid-traffic-scheme-for-bloggers/
Reply to this commentinteresting concept I like it. I just tried put in on my blog. Thanks
Reply to this commentHey John, just wanted to say thanks. Because of you.. I’m now able to afford a booth at BLOG World Expo. Things are on the uprise. You are the real deal man.
Reply to this commentThat’s some crazy potential.
I hope they have a big network of religion/economics/politics/christianity blogs….
But that might bee too specific.
Reply to this commentIs it just me or the blogs being showed by the blogrush widget doesn’t even have that widget installed. How can they be in the top of the list? Sounds more like a joint venture by some bloggers to get more traffic =)?
Reply to this commentHAVE WE ALL BEEN DUPED?!! I HAVE BEEN TRYING TO FIND ONE OTHER SITE WITH THE BLOG RUSH ON IT. I HAVE FOUND NONE!!!
Reply to this commentGive them time to build a user base… otherwise they’d have no headlines to display!
Reply to this commentOkay, I started to freak out, I just found a site through the blog rush that has the widget: http://www.spokanerealestatebuyer.com/2007/08/mortgage-industry-lays-off-37000-employees/
Reply to this commentsome things don’t seem right with this.
#1 - none of the blogs you head to have the widget.
#2 - the site claims to drive ‘targeted’ traffic. It may inherently break adsense tos for sites with the widget. (paid or not, its advertising too, the site offers no details).
#3 - Google will undoubtedly can the site and several of its users in the same manner as it does article directories. It will become one big bad neighborhood spreader when spammers sink their teeth into it.
#4 - blogging is already getting a bad name for some practices inherent with blog networking, this will make those worse.
My 2 cents - if you want your content on someone elses site contact them directly, otherwise you risk your sites rankings.
Reply to this commentWhat a coincidence? I just planted BlogRush on my site(http://adawn.squarespace.com) today and then I found out that you are writing about this too! Hopefully this will bring some more traffic. Thanks.
Reply to this commentAnother one of those why didn’t I think of this ideas!
Reply to this commentwell actually the idea is not new, but they are doing a hell of a good job with marketing… but we have to see over time how this prospers
Reply to this commentJust implemented it on my blog
Reply to this commentThanks for sharing the cool tool
Certainly looks interesting and worth considering. Thanks for the heads up.
Reply to this commentAdsense says your account may be disabled from traffic exchange programs. Hopefully they will overlook this? I would hate to see some big names get banned for something like this.
Reply to this commentAdsense really says that? Ah!
Reply to this commentI thought John was planning on binning Adsense altogether anyway.
Reply to this commentUsing an incentive traffic exchange service is against the Adsense TOS. As far as I can tell, BlogRush is not an incentive traffic exchange.
Reply to this commentI just thought that i wrote about you john at my blog and bill gates as well, if you were to be crediting the referral through me, wouldn’t i get 10,000 exposures for sure?
Reply to this commenti`ve just added blog rush to my blog. let`s see how it works and how it`s gona raise my traffic.
Reply to this commentsounds interesting. isnt it the same idea behind co-op ad network?
Reply to this commentjust wondering what google will say about it
Well. I’ll not add me until I finished once of my projects
Reply to this commentThis is only for english blog right now.
Reply to this commentAhhh, very nice. I love it. I’ll have to download this for my site. Great idea.
Reply to this commentProblem number one: I just saw a link to a John Chow dot com article on the widget running on johnchow dot com.
Don’t they exclude links to the site you are on when displaying the widget? It’s a load of crap if it just refers people on site to the same site.
Reply to this commentIt was not john chow.
Reply to this commentIt was john cow.

Reply to this commentJohn, I just joined Blogrush. BTW, when I visit other blogs via the Blogrush widget, they don’t even have the widget on their blogs.
Reply to this commentInstalled it on my blog as well. Waiting to see if it really brings any traffic
Reply to this commentIs this really works
Reply to this commentalot of hype surrounding this someone is making a lot of money from it and we will see if it does work give it a few weeks till initial buzz wears off and see where it is there and what bugs need to be worked out
Reply to this commentNice, that’s a good way to get more traffic!
Reply to this commentThis is true. I hope this turns out good. Thanks JC.
Reply to this commentAhhh, very nice. I love it. I’ll have to download this for my site. Great idea
Reply to this commentI am just trying to figure out now what category to put my blog under. I can’t decide if I should do business, marketing, computers & Internet. I can’t find any articles on my widget that lead to anything that has to do with making money online, unlike when I look at NetBusinessBlog. Any ideas?
Reply to this commentThis is a really great idea. I just put the widget on my blog and I’m looking forward to seeing if this brings any increased traffic.
Reply to this commentGreat concept, I like it. Thanks….
Reply to this commentI will wait on this John, BlogRush May Violate The Adsense Terms Of Service. An article at 45n5 explains this:
Reply to this commenthttp://www.45n5.com/permalink/warning-blogrush-may-violate-the-adsense-terms-of-.html
I’ll probably wait awhile before I add this, but it seems like it has potential.
Reply to this commentHas anyone tried their filter system? It didn’t seem to work for me…
Reply to this commenti have signed up……
Reply to this commentEvery single blog I read today wrote about BlogRush. Is this a trend or what? I joined it, too, just because some great bloggers wrote about it. But I’m not sure it will work. There are thousands of other blog networks like this.
Anyway, I’ll just wait and see.
Reply to this commentSo, everyone is really enthusiast about this new BlogRush. And, literally, everyone is rushing to get an account. Let’s see where this leads to.
