Oh Canada

I am pleased to report that Sarah is now a Canadian Permanent Resident. I was surprised at how fast Sarah was approved. They didn’t even call her in for an interview. I have a feeling this is due to the fact that the Canadian Consulate General’s office in Seattle is the least busy consulate in the world. They’re only open from 8AM to 10AM and for only three days a week. The place is never busy. I guess not many US people wants to move to Canada.

Now that Sarah is a Canadian resident she can now apply for a Social Insurance Number (SIN), which will allow her to get a job. Ya right! Like I will ever allow that! The SIN will allow her to get Canadian medical coverage however, which may come in handy later on.
