Infolinks Empowers Women Blog-Stars to Give Back

As International Women’s Day observes its centennial anniversary, Infolinks is honoring women of the internet by contributing $4,000 to charities supporting women’s issues. The Dream Center in Los Angeles, Dress for Success, Respect Rx and End the Backlog are among the charities receiving $1,000 each.

“It’s not too often that someone hands you $1,000 and tells you to give it to the charity of your choice,” admitted Jenny Lawson co-blogger of Good Mom/ Bad Mom on the Houston Chronicle. “Helping rape victims receive justice is important to me so giving my pledge to End the Backlog was an easy decision. “

Rather than selecting the most worthy charitable organization to sponsor, Infolinks chose top female bloggers Jessica Gottlieb, Alaina Sheer, Stephanie Elie and Lawson to designate which women related charities to support. Each gift was bestowed in the name of the top female blogger to honor women of the Internet and the issues that are important to them.

“Our team debated for hours to decide which causes we wanted to back this year,” said Tomer Treves, Infolinks CMO. “In the end we thought that bringing attention to women of the internet and letting them decide where to give was the best choice. These women are inspirational to many and I hope this gift encourages others to generously give to women’s causes.”

Infolinks, In-Text ad provider, is also launching several other promotions for female bloggers this month. You can also visit their Facebook Fan Page to join the discussion about inspirational women of the internet.

Infolinks is great service and their revenue sharing is good. However still they are not a good match for adsense. I am using both on my sites and infolinks earning is approximately 25~30% of my adsense earnings.

Awesome stuff! That is good to hear, as I have been considering Infolinks.

      1. Design Flyer says:

Good thing about infolinks is that it does not affect your adsense earning ( because of in-text ads).

      2. d3so says:

I’ve been using Infolinks but am not making much. I removed the code for now.

    2. agree with you, For revenue adsense is better than Infolinks, but for term infolinks is better than adsense

      1. d3so says:

I’ve made more with adsense as well but I was banned for some reason. I need to get my account back.

    3. I don’t think I’ve ever clicked on an InfoLinks like ad, ever. They’re just too irritating for me.

      1. design flyer says:

Its your personal experience only. People are clicking on infolinks ads and its CTR is good.

        1. Lakhyajyoti says:

Yup.Infolinks have a very good CTR.

      2. you did not because you know about those ads.

People who do not know about that generally click. This is applicable for almost all kind of ads.

        1. design flyer says:

Yeah.. its right.. our response to ads is quite different from the majority of internet users.

    4. 25 – 30% are very good contribution I think.

Adsense and infolinks both are deadly combination and both compliment each other quite well.

      1. design flyer says:

Yeah.. its good contribution.. they are improving fast. Their new feature “related tags” is really good.

  2. Contexual advertising still isn’t what it used to be. I think it’s great that infolinks is donating $4,000 though! It’s always good to lead by example.

    1. Design Flyer says:

Well no doubt they are improving very fast and I think making good money..

      1. Abhik says:

        Of course they do..!!

Long time Adsense user here. This is the first time I’ve heard of Infolinks. It’s nice to know there is a viable alternative.

    1. Lakhyajyoti says:

I have been using infolinks for last two years. They have a good CTR.

    2. You should not take infolinks as alternative but yes they are supportive.

it’s great to see Infolinks reaching out like this. I have been using them for about a year now and they are only getting better all the time. The ads were pretty sad when they first started, but I think they are the best test link service now.

What are the chances of infolinks to become an adsense alternative in the future?

    1. Fazal Mayar says:

chances arent that bad but do you know adsense and infolinks are different? infolinks is more of in-text advertising, it means they dont offer images ads for now.
