Invading The Austria Club

The Austria Vancouver club held their annual summer shindig today. I always look forward to this event because it’s a good way to step outside the norm and get some culture. Richmond is mostly Asian so it’s really a step outside when you enter a place where everyone is white and you are the only Chinese guy there.
I remember the first time I went to the Austria club. I wasn’t sure what to expect so I brought along a camcorder to tape the events in case I didn’t make it out. Anyways, this is the video of the first time I visited the Austria club. All I have to say is there are sure strange things going on inside the Austria club!

Reply to this commentMaybe I felt similar when I went to Singapore first time. Asian culture is shock if if it is fist time. And I like Asian culture and food.

What the hell is this? I live in Richmond. It’s about 1/2 and 1/2 and I’m not Asian and I don’t even think about it. Does that mean when I go into a Chinese restaurant and I’m the only Caucasian there that I should feel uncomfortable? Well I don’t and neither should you. You’re not in China now-there is no racism here like there is there. Or maybe there is and I’m just too naive to think otherwise.
