It’s a Lamborghini Reventon

A few readers have noticed the new car running in my header and wonder what it was. Even before this blog got redesigned by Nate Whitehilll, I have been using a Pagani Zonda F for the header image. The new car is the 2008 Lamborghini Reventon. Congrats to Steven Truong and Affiliate Unleashed for getting it right. For those who thought it was a Ferrari or Bugatti, shame on you.
The Lamborghini Reventon is the wildest Lamborghini ever produced. Only 20 examples will be made and all have been spoken for. The price, if you have to know, is 1 Million Euro (plus taxes). That works out to $1.4 million CAD and probably $1 Billion US with the US exchange rate going into the toilet. The above photo was taken at the Lamborghini museum. Here are some more photos and a couple of videos.

I thought the logo looked like a lambo, but the front end design threw me. I was all over the place.
Reply to this commentWow man those are some cool looking cars!
Reply to this commentI wonder how long it’s gonna be until John’s monthly income will cover a Lambo
Reply to this commentI wouldn’t want one. Cause then I would have anything else to go after in life.
Ok maybe I do want one. Really bad!
Reply to this commentHeHe nah there’s no limit to people’s wants not even yours.
Reply to this commentOnly 20 ahahha that’s crazy !! what they put inside this baby ahaha.. I wonder who will be those 20 lucky one… sounds like an auction lool
Reply to this comment@Jason, I think his real income comes fairly close to that, just not his blog income.
I wish I had one.
Thanks for the plug yet again John ^_~
Reply to this commentWhat would it cost, like $8,000 a month for your car payment on this Lambo? Pretty steep for a ride.
Reply to this commentLamborghini does not accepting financing. Cash only.
$8,000 a month might pay for the insurance.
Reply to this commentYea, I revised that amount. So, only about 48 more months in a row like the last one and you can get one.
Reply to this commentIt is a great car, but I would get one even if I was Bill Gates with the fat wallet.
Reply to this commentOne of my favourite hobbies is off road holidays so a SUV or a 4WD would be good.
Lol. Man… I can’t wait to see that
Reply to this commentI have to revise my original guess on the payment for this beast. It would be more like $29k per month not $8k.
Reply to this commentDamn! I just started my blog using the Bugatti Veyron, which is supposed to be the most powerful, most expensive, fastest street-legal production car in existence. I wonder if this Lambo puts the Bugatti in second place.
Reply to this commentI don’t think so. The Bugatti Veyron has 1000 hp and tops out at 253 mph. It also costs $1.7 million US.
Reply to this commentI actually didn’t even saw the new header image, when you first mentioned I was still seeing the old header.
Damn I love this new devil, and more like because i like that type of color that doesn’t reflect (same color i have my ducati monster).
Reply to this commentYeah, it threw me until i remembered I saw the car on Top Gear a while ago
Reply to this commentThat’s what I said, I thought it was a Ferrari.
Reply to this commentthat´s the right car for my dad´s son.
Reply to this commentHeHe really? I don’t think so…
My dad’s son would appreciate it much more
Reply to this commentsorry I put my name on the vip list lool

Reply to this commentLoL we got a problem here guys
Let’s all run a contest then and see who wins it
Reply to this commentYeah, if John gave out this car as a contest, I am sure it’d be the best promotion ever!

Reply to this commentOh my Goodness !! This Lambo is so nice man !! I think that you can’t afford it John !!
By the way, I nominate your blog at the IblogCup competition, go and check it !!
JohnChow on Blog Contest will fight with the Seomoz blog…

Reply to this commentxBrain & xBrain
how can you mistaken that for not being a Lamborghini?
I like it! For those who thought it was a Ferrari or anything other than an Lamborghini should be shot! lol
Reply to this commentThe Lamborghini is just so different from others.
Reply to this commentI like the reverse shot.
Reply to this commentAgreed. The brake lights/turn signals rock.
Reply to this commentagreed
Reply to this commentYou mean people actually got that wrong?
Reply to this commentI guess it hasn’t been out that long. I didn’t even know about it. It debuted at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September. I got stumped.
Reply to this commentNow that is a very cool car
Reply to this commentThat car is damn hot and limited.
Reply to this commentWow. That car is hot!
Reply to this commentgauges are bananas!
Reply to this commentActually it’s liquid crystal, like in a fighter jet. Bananas would be a bit messy.
Reply to this commentPer Autoweek.com, there is little much for the extra $1 mil in the car over the LP640:
“Ordinarily, for example, people who are perceptive and disciplined enough to build massive fortunes would not pay $1.4 million for something intrinsically worth a little more than $311,000–the cheaper option being a Lamborghini Murciélago LP640.
Not far beneath the Reventón’s carbon-fiber and aluminum skin lurks little more than an LP640, which was amply evident when we drove the Reventón. Lamborghini freely admits that this is a sculpture moving on tried and trusted engineering.”
Horsepower is only up 10hp over the LP640.
I write this in case Bill Gates, Larry, or Sergey are reading this and were about to make a purchase since the rest of us can only drool.
Reply to this commentThe price is so high because it’s a limited edition.
Reply to this commentthis is a collection car ….. nothing to do with a Lamborghini Murciélago LP640.. You don’t drive this car you watch it only ahahahhaha
Reply to this commentLoL nah man I’d drive it, I don’t care how much it would cost I’m not going to spend a mill for an ornament
There’s no real concern for crashing with this baby, coz if you do it would be the last thing you go on this lovely planet.
What do ya think?
Reply to this commentthis or zonda r?
Reply to this commentwhat’s a zonda? you mean a honda?
Reply to this commentThe Zonda was the previous car on the header.
Reply to this commentJust got mine in the mail, I had em overnight it so i could be the first to have it in the US,
Reply to this commentsigh.. if only….
John, this brings up a question I’ve been wanting to ask you. What kind of cars do you personally own?
Reply to this commentJohn did a post about a new car he just bought a few days ago if I remember correctly I’ll try find the link. Can’t remember what car it was either.
Reply to this commentTwo Acuras I believe.
Reply to this commentWow!!!! Amazing car!
Reply to this commentCheaper than Ferrari Enzo…
And way hotter than the Enzo too
Reply to this commentI’ve got two words
Reply to this commentAwesome Car!!!
Very nice ride. I saw it at the LA Auto Show.
Reply to this commentThe wife’s Rover 214 would kick its ass!
Reply to this commentDoes this mean we have to change our header too ?
Reply to this commentI guess so
I still like your header anyway
I love it’s comical appearance
Reply to this commentI think you have no choice ahahhaha
ahaha just kidding but you have to move to the next level lool
Reply to this commentYes… You can black it out and put a question mark where the car is to make it future proof
Reply to this commentYup, you gotta for sure.
Reply to this commentHow long until you buy one?
Reply to this commentDoes that badge look like a Bughatti or a Ferrari?!?! Oh my goodness.
Reply to this commentTo see the new header image you might have to click ‘Ctrl +F5′ to clear your cash.

Reply to this commentyikes. That’s nice.
Reply to this commentSomeone on Ferrari Chat has #4 out of 20. I’ll try to buy it from him used down the road…
Reply to this commentThanks for the link John!
I follow Lambo’s because I’d love to eventually buy one.
Reply to this commentwhat the!
… 30 yrs.. of blogging still i can’t afford that..worst, its obsolete..
Reply to this commentWait, 30 years of bloggin? Blogging has not existed for more than 10 years! maybe you thought of the technology before huh?
Reply to this commentThats a beauty! 20 Rich kids will be showing off on the streets soon!
Reply to this commentthats a slick looking automobile. niiiiiiiiice!
Reply to this commentToo bad that it looks more like a stealth fighter then a real italian sports car, but maybe that’s a sign that the germans are in charge now
But then again, Lamborghini never made sleek italian design cars, only the Miura comes to mind.
Reply to this commentwow I’m speechless, great looking car
Reply to this commentI think what’s most inspiring about Lamborghini is their ability to both evolve, design on the edge, but continue to maintain a style that is easily identifiable. What an incredible machine. It looks as though it could suck the pavement right off the road.
Thanks for sharing it, John!
Reply to this commentHas Nate changed his last name to “Whiltehead”?
Reply to this commentBTW…John Chow, what kind of a car do you drive…curious what a self proclaimed Dot Com Mogul drives? It’s not a Toyota Camry is it?
Reply to this commentFrom what I understand he drives an Acura.
Reply to this commentI want one.
Reply to this commentI must have one. Time to get into ultra mega blogging mode
Reply to this commentI just thought this car and the ferrari limited edition FXX is just cool.
Reply to this commentWhat a sissy car. Give me my 75 AMC Pacer…… now that’s a car.
hahahaha
Seriously…. that is a dream car… I would be hard pressed to choose that or a Bugatti Veyron…….
Reply to this commentWell, whatever car it is, it is freakin’ sweet. If any of you care to get me an X-Mas gift, here you go.
Reply to this commentI need to get myself one of them
Reply to this commentTHe alloys on it are pretty bad ass
Reply to this commentIts the nicest Lamborghini ever produced and they are only limiting the amount they are making…shame its such a nice car
Reply to this commentmaybe that’s why it’s worth so much, not the car, they make so little of them and hike the prices so only the really really rich buys them. and the cycle continues… what’s new?
Reply to this commentGood looking
Reply to this commentwho’s good looking? me? Oh, i thought so too…lol…
Reply to this commentsorry, i have this disease where i have to be on top of the commentator list… i think john gave it to me…
Reply to this commentreally nice car, best lambo ever but a bugatti is was more superior, faster and looks nicer and i mean come on a w16 cylinder engine, can’t beat that. check out my Auto Blog, i got nice pictures of the new convertible slr mclaren from Brabus. http://www.CARversation.com
Reply to this commentnice car, but the bugatti is the best street legal production car i mean a w16 cylinder car, and fastest car cant beat that. if you can afford this i’m sure another 500k wont be nothing for a bugatti. check out my blog for slr mclaren brabus pictures.
Reply to this commentGorgeous car, loved it when I first saw it on Top Gear.
I’ll take two please!
Chris
Reply to this commentAnyone else looking forward to the day John puts this up in a contest?
Reply to this commentThat’s possibly the nicest car I’ve ever seen. One of these days….
Reply to this commentnice car I like to wish Santa give this car as Christmas gift & include me in those lucky 20
edit : Santa read above wish - he can grant my wish
but he says he needs donations
Reply to this commentDisturbing news… I work down the block form a Lamborghini / Bentley dealer (Paul Miller), and they always have a few million dollars in inventory sitting outside. They now what I believe is a Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder (soft top, bright yellow) sitting out there… Even in the snow and feezing rain! Gaaahhhhh!! Protect that thing, for the love of Jebus!
Reply to this commentThat’s awful! Although I suppose if you build and sell Lambo’s for a living you can afford to let them sit out in the rain and snow every once and awhile
Reply to this commentI love the Lamborghini Reventon! and looks great on your blog John.
Steve
Reply to this commentsweet looking Lambo. Now if only it came in yellow it would be on my blog too.
Reply to this commentHi James, you can find the yellow lamborghini pictures at Lamborghini Gallardo.
Reply to this commentWow, ill take 2 of those!
Reply to this commentI’m sure it’s lovely. But it is hideous.
Reply to this commentIt’s hideous?! It’s a work of art, the best looking Lambo yet.
Reply to this commentWow this car if I like!
Reply to this commentIt’s a great looking car from the front…but that’s it. It looks terrible from all other angles unless your idea of style is riding around in a Stealth Bomber.
Reply to this commentdunno, it probably costs a s**tload of money. Taking this into account, I’d be REALLY (read it: way too) careful when driving this car on the street. I don’t actually know how it is in America, but this car is NOT suitable for Romania. Why? Several reasons: first, most of the roads here suck, and the tyres would be destroyed in no time. Secondly, there are lots of drivers that go like crazy, with high speed, in town, on narrow streets - therefore, the risk of getting your car trashed is huge :). And trashing this precious would break anyone’s heart. Oh and third: such a car would attract the attention of thieves, which are plenty in Romania. (oh well, yes, not a very good advertisement for my country, but heck it’s true)
Reply to this commentThat’s a really amazing car. Amazing. That should stay as your header.
Reply to this commentIt seems like this beast has a lot of smoke coming out of the backend
-Mike
