It’s A Saleen

For those wondering what car I’m using on my new header, it’s a Saleen S7. Saleen is best known for creating high performance Mustangs but they also make other high performance vehicles for street and track, including the S7 supercar.

Power is provided by a 7L twin turbo motor that puts out 750 HP and 700 lb-ft of torque. With just 2,950 lb weight and 750HP, the Saleen S7 is capable of over 200 miles per hour top speed and can do 0-to-60 time is under three seconds, making it among the fastest supercars in the world.

A cool feature of the S7 is its extreme ground effects. At 160 MPH, the car generates enough down force that it could be driven upside down and still maintain contact with the road. Now if I can only find a tunnel big enough and long enough to test that out.

"Now if I can only find a tunnel big enough and long enough to test out that".

Does this mean you bought one?

A test would have to be done in a wind tunnel. The car is 2,950lbs so it would need that much down force in order to drive upside down. I have no doubt it can generate that much down force at 160MPH. Must be pretty stable at that speed.

BTW - Formula 1 cars also generate enough down force to be driven upside down.

"It could be driven upside down and still maintain contact with the road"

Is that possible to test out, damn that'd be sweet. I wonder how you'd be able to get it upside, just with a simple curved wall might work but I'd wanna see this on Ripleys or something.
