Man! I haven’t recall Vancouver being this hot in a long time! I went for an extra long 2.5 hour bike ride today because of the beautiful weather. I hope this weather keeps up because my bike route was pretty damn busy today due it being a Saturday and people are off work.

I rode out to the Shell Road trail to River Road, then to the Steveston dyke trail. From the dyke I headed out to the airport and into Iona Beach. About 2 hours into the ride I got really hungry and my legs started to give out. I only had a small bowel of noodles for lunch and didn’t wake up in time for breakfast. Somehow I managed to make it home and still average 24KPH for the entire route. I then immediately made a protein shake. It was good!

Temperature is expected to hit 27C tomorrow and 31C on Monday. As long as this weather keeps up, I’ll be out riding everyday.
