
I’m in this week’s edition of the Richmond News newspaper. The Richmond News is a community paper that goes to every house and business in the city of Richmond. The paper got a hold of me because of The Province newspaper article about BC’s Dot Com Moguls.
This latest coverage underscores my post on how to get old world media coverage. In that post, I said you should started with the biggest paper in town and work down. If you can get into a really big paper like The Province, chances are good that the smaller community papers will want to talk to you and give you even more exposure. Every blogger should work on getting mainstream media coverage. It’s one of the things that will make you stand out from the 117+ million blogs (plus 175,000 more per day) out there.
The Richmond News article gave me a plug on the cover using the tag line “Million Dollar Blogger.” The writer got a few facts incorrect (I didn’t go from $3,400 to $30K in four months) but nothing major. You can read the full article by clicking on the image below.
