Make Money!

richmondnews1.jpg

I’m in this week’s edition of the Richmond News newspaper. The Richmond News is a community paper that goes to every house and business in the city of Richmond. The paper got a hold of me because of The Province newspaper article about BC’s Dot Com Moguls.

This latest coverage underscores my post on how to get old world media coverage. In that post, I said you should started with the biggest paper in town and work down. If you can get into a really big paper like The Province, chances are good that the smaller community papers will want to talk to you and give you even more exposure. Every blogger should work on getting mainstream media coverage. It’s one of the things that will make you stand out from the 117+ million blogs (plus 175,000 more per day) out there.

The Richmond News article gave me a plug on the cover using the tag line “Million Dollar Blogger.” The writer got a few facts incorrect (I didn’t go from $3,400 to $30K in four months) but nothing major. You can read the full article by clicking on the image below.

Excellent work John as usual

Congratulations - first on getting closer to the million dollar mark and also on being featured in the article. It's a pretty good article too. It's great that the free exposure keeps coming for you.

It would be nice to see a general breakdown of your revenue. The blog it making $30k per month, but that's far from $1mm in revenue for 12-months time. That type of info would help teach readers how different internet properties work together, and which ones are making the larger percentage of your income, as well as shows that it's possible to manage multiple internet properties all at the same time.

Wow John, you are starting to master print media pretty good. With your multiple mentions on TV and in print media, you should be famous enough to get your own Wikipedia article! ;-) congrats.

John

I visited TTZ Media website but since there is no help page or faq page I didn't sign up. Just wanted to know the basic stuff first e.g. how much can I make, etc.

Congratulations John.. the good work

Good stuff. The recognition has to feel very satisfying. But you know what, people will read that article and will automatically conclude they can't do what you do. Amazing. Poor souls.

congratulations!!!!! keep up the good work

Going to break the million dollar mark? That's a pretty admirable level. It would be nice if I could get to the 2,000 mark on rss subscribers, I'll work on the million dollar mark after that.

The John Chow brand is getting bigger and bigger every day! Congrats John!

You don't get press like this until you have made it already.

Congratulations by the way john ;)

I just think that they wrote 4 months to get more attention in their news paper because you know media have to exaggerate to get attention.

Good going John .. lots of promotion :p

Congatulations.

I've just shown this article to my mom  and she likes it (and I think you, John, also).

Congratulation john, blogger like you sure get the news.

What you wanna say here Mr. chow ( Forth Column)?
“If one of my bloggers put something up on my site, I count that as one (of my entries)” say Chow

It Technically is...he's saying he posts 3 entries a day and counts a guest post as one of them ;)

Go John go -We love to read these articles about you. We look at you for inspiration. (whom you look up to?)

what a success for you john.

Congratulations, John! My wife read the article and showed it to her sister - who is still skeptical that you can make that much and that YOU are willing to talk about it and share how you did it. But you know what, now she's after me to start making $30k per month!!!

Regards,

Mohamed

Hi John,

Congratulation on your coverage by the Richmond News.

I actually keep that copy as a reminder that internet marketing really works.

I've learning a lot about internet marketing and reading about your success I think it is time to take action and jump into the water and start swimming.

I'm wondering if you would be so kind to show me some guidance and pointed me into the right direction in my internet marketing endeavor.

Thanks in advance,
Hardy

Congratulations John. This is superb !!

I say this a little sheepishly, but...

RE: The TechZone
"It's a technology website that reviews high-tech products," says Chow. "Manufacturers send me products and I review them."

When was the last time you actually wrote a review for TTZ? It's mostly the Michael Kwan Show these days. lol

Michael telling us how it is

Fantastic and congratulation
