John Chow Review Not Enough? How About Cow As Well?

Gyutae Park of Winning the Web has upped the stakes in the $400 John Chow review contest. In addition to offering to buy the winner a review from me, Gyutae will also be buying one lucky commentator a $200 John Cow review. I guess if you can’t win a review by me, the next best thing is winning one from the cow.

The John Cow review will go to a random commentator on all Winning the Web posts in December. However, the winner will be announced via RSS feed so it’s still important to subscribe. The winner then has 24 hours to claim the prize. Otherwise, a new winner will be chosen.

I guess the more comments you have on Winning the Web, the better your chances of being selected for a moo review.

I have to give Winning the Web credit. He’s came up with a very unique and effective way to increase both his RSS and comment count. This could be his break out moment. I’m going to go comment on his blog now.

Full contest rules can be found on this post.

  1. I’ll be commenting to. I’ve had a pretty good week this week. Maybe a cow review for next week to round things out.

      1. Steven says:

Yeah, I think they’re separate, like runner up. Funny if John ends up winning his own review LOL

        1. haha, John don,t need his own review…lol

        2. Maybe John will win Cow’s review. It will then be a Cow Chow review.

          1. Ninja Dollar says:

I’d really like to read John Chow review his own site. Although I somehow feel that it may contain just a couple of affiliate links….though obviously not AGLOCO…

  2. Michael says:

I’m not sure that I would want my website reviewed just yet. Wouldn’t that be best left for someone with a more completed website?

    1. Traffic is never bad πŸ˜› and if you get reviewed by JohnChow or JohnCow and monetize the site properly you can make some good quick cash πŸ™‚

    2. I’ve thought about that to since there are things I want to add to make my blog look better and function better. But hey, John always offers good critiques and suggestions. So I’d love to win either.

      1. You got a nice blog bro…your adsense is far better than me… πŸ˜₯

    3. Think of it as encouragement to get your ass moving and finish up.

      1. LoL plain, clean and direct πŸ˜‰

      2. MoneyNing says:

        Good suggestion πŸ™‚

    4. Retard , good site…your site far too complete than mine…

    5. Michael, the site looks nice…not sure about the URL though!

  3. Neil Duckett says:

Sounds like a good idea to me, heading there now.

  4. I am going to read the rules first.

      Some rules

  6. Lol… this is a funny post. πŸ˜†

  7. $600 is a lot to lay down for a contest – I hope it’s going well for him

    1. HeHe if he got the money and wants to give it away, who cares if it goes well or not 😈

    2. $600 is nothing when you consider the fact that his RSS subscriptions are likely going through the roof and he’s gotten lots of traffic from both Chow and probably Cow now as well. It’s a smart move and could very well end up being a bargain.

      1. Call me boring but I always consider $600 worth thinking about. I could certainly do with those reviews! πŸ˜†

        1. I meant it’s not as big a deal as the commentators above were making it out to be.

      2. MoneyNing says:

I agree with this. I wonder how much of those subscriptions are quality readers though.

    3. Not really. It would cost you way more than $600 to get as many new rss sign-ups via ppc and rss subscribers is what brings $$ into yuor blog.

  8. So many contests to keep track of. I’ll head over there now and check it out. πŸ˜›

  9. Jerlene says:

I think I’ll actually participate in this little contest though. I could use a review by John Cow.

    1. Who wouldn’t ??

Heading over there right now too πŸ™‚

  10. I am new to this blog area. I hope some day I will also be making great posts and reviewed by Jhon. A review by John is a like a dream coming true.

    1. MoneyNing says:

All you need is $400 for your dream to come true! πŸ™‚

    2. not a dream if we got enough money… πŸ˜₯

  11. Gasmoney says:

thats a great way to get members and my hats (grey) is off to him πŸ˜†

  12. Promotions, promotions…whatever it takes to generate traffic I suppose

  13. Mike Huang says:

Mr. Park is just as evil as Mr. Chow!

    1. charles says:

I guess even more evil than the two JC’s. haha. 😈

      1. Nah wouldn’t go that far πŸ˜›

    2. Haha…you’re not the only one thinking about that…both of them is evil…

  14. frank lee says:

JC what happen to blogrush on your site

  15. This post is getting a ton of ping backs. I’ll go check out what they’re all saying about it hehe. Most probably about how evil they all are πŸ˜†

  16. shy guy says:

I guess it is good to get review by one of JC…
Ha ha ha.. like the pic of chow and cow.. Funny pic..

    1. James B. says:

I agree, cool pic. I dig it totally.

  17. Beanieville says:

Nice to see you all making money bloggin.
Here’s a stock you must buy now for a 3 year hold, is my opinion. I am totally on fire on my targets.
    Good luck.

    1. James B. says:

Nice to see you here too, sneaking in you link like that. (I like that, I’ll give it try)
“Here are some tips that you must use now and use them for three years, that is my opinion. I’m on fire with my tips.

  18. Fat Man says:

Thats not a bad deal. Definitely seems worth it to try and win this.

    1. Etienne Teo says:

I guess not winning JC review but a cow review seems alright.

  19. Odd News says:

The picture of the Cow looks good by you πŸ™‚ I will checkout this, if I can win any.

  20. oni Micheal says:

Thank you John Chow I am Highly very impressed with your great effort to have connect with me to the world and the globe not for today but for the future generation , you had made a office for me just as my mentor Sir Derek Gehl of Internet Marketing center had assured me of making millions in future to come and its real cuase its already happening , You had made fortune for me and my generathion lineage , I say thank you sir and God bless .

  21. James B. says:

Thats pretty cool. The ratio on the reviewme’s are totally out of wack. I looked up on alexa and gets way more than twice the visitors as gets. Here is the link if you want to check it out.

    1. MoneyNing says:

Alexa is not accurate. I bet this site gets at least 5 times the traffic the other site gets πŸ™‚

  22. Seems a good deal for users who are entering the competition and a nice link between them…since John Cow is referred to as a clone of John Chow

  23. MoneyNing says:

Contests are quite good. I always end up getting many subscribers every time I run contests.

  24. PinoyTech says:

I think I need to go into a blogging spree to win.

  25. erick says:

chow, u are a king of capital bloggers

  26. I think I’ll head over and comment. I could use the review and the traffic.

  27. Sweet prizes. Great ideas too. πŸ™‚

  28. hts says:

IMO, the idea is great. The blog that started this will see a great increase of subscribers + commentaries , which basically means a loyal audience and returning visitors… I think the $600 they spend on the prizes are well invested.

  29. Steve! says:

John Cow is very different to John Chow in my opinion. Don’t know how they connected.
