The holiday cheer doesn’t end with the year and neither does the giving. Liberty Wine Merchant is once again recruiting British Columbia’s finest in the food and beverage industry for Taste BC: a fundraiser for the Children’s Hospital-Oak Tree Clinic which specializes in providing care and services to those with HIV/AIDS. The funds raised from the annual winter event already total $164,957, and with Taste BC 2010, that figure is certain to increase.
The 16th annual celebration of local food and drink takes place January 19, 2010 (4:30-7:30 p.m.) at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Vancouver. Guests will taste, sip and experience BC’s finest wine, beer and spirits accompanied by tasty fare from our best local restaurants. Along with excellent food and drink, attractions include live music, door prizes, and a silent auction that features luxury items, including local experience packages and delicious products made by British Columbia’s own.
Taste BC is one event you will not want to miss. This memorable tasting promises to inspire a sense of local pride, and most importantly, raise proceeds to benefit one of the province’s most vital medical institutions. Tickets for Taste BC can be purchased at all Liberty locations for $49.99 each. Remember, all proceeds goes to the BC Children’s Hospital – Oak Tree Clinic. What a great way to have a night out and help those in need. I hope to see you there! Here’s a video from last year’s event.

One of the most common complaint (or excuse) I hear from potential new bloggers is they don’t know how to install WordPress. Terms like FTP and CPanel are like a foreign language and setting up a database might as well be setting up the space shuttle for a launch. Because of the technology barrier, many would-be bloggers never start their blogs...

John, to be honest, I am jealous when i see you getting the best food all the time. I havent seen much bloggers who would blog so much about food! I just Love food.. Well, ill be at your spot sooner
! Have fun on this one, cheers!
Haha, if you search through, you would get tons of food blogs out there. In my country, there are tons of food blogger, I’m one of them but I didn’t update my food blog much through.
I am jealous about John because he could earn $40k per month and enjoy his life in this way..
thats what they call a dot com life style
We are in same boat here.
Maybe I’ll have to make an “emergency” trip out to BC for this
It calls for a trip kevin, make one soon
This sounds like a great time and a great meal for only $50 bucks.
Yes $50 is really cheap and main thing is this is for noble cause.
Thanks John for updating us about noble acts.
I must remember not to read your blog at night (11:40pm here) as it is normally about food and it makes me hungry!
I’m blaming you for my growing waistline John!
I have also decided to give John’s blog a miss at night, as he inevitably is the cause of me raiding the fridge for midnight snacks. Eating less than two hours before going to bed is deadly for the waistline, believe you me!
The food is nice and tasty but everything is so fattening.I try not to see pictures in the posts about food. One more impulse to eat something when you are not hungry at all.
It seems good looking food but do not know about the taste.
John’s face expression was telling everything.
What a great event for a great cause! Have fun and enjoy, the diet can always start — tomorrow
SY
Yes this was really calorie filled diet with cheese and all.
But we can always postponed our diet plan.
This makes me a little hungry
So Wonderful, It is interesting
. Thank you for your post
John, you should start a food blog as well since you love to chow so much. Maybe your domain name could be JohnChowChow.com?
Rofl, JohnChowChow.com, I am sure that would be another big success for him, another $40 000 blog
SY
No no … I think this blog is good one to present both kind of attraction to us.
