Laptop Gamers was started last Sunday and it just finished its first week being on the net. Here is the Sitemeter growth chart for the week.

As you can see, the site has been growing at over 100% per day! I don’t expect this level of growth to keep up and I haven’t decided at what page view level I want to get the site to. So far, the site is monetized with Google AdSense and TTZ Media Network ads. I will be adding Vibrant Media text links later. That should bring the site income to $50 per day.
Not bad for a one week old site.

One of the most common complaint (or excuse) I hear from potential new bloggers is they don’t know how to install WordPress. Terms like FTP and CPanel are like a foreign language and setting up a database might as well be setting up the space shuttle for a launch. Because of the technology barrier, many would-be bloggers never start their blogs...

Nicely done on LG! I assume you do have a lot of internal traffic from your network that you push that way. Great achievement nonetheless.
The network does a good job sending LG traffic. However, a good amount of traffic is sent by non-network tech sites that links our news. Because of the backlinks created by these sites (mostly PR6), all pages on LG has been index by Google.
A bunch of quality backlinks surely do speed things up a lot. I have a mobile comm site in the making, perhaps we can swap links later. I’ll let you know.
Nice concept for a site, but regarding this story:
Notebooks pass desktops in U.S. retail
The whole article is scraped from a story by news.com? That’s not fair use that’s copyright theft.
What do you have to say about copyright abuse John?
For a news story that is done by another site, the rule is to post a quote or two from the story to give readers a taste of what the story is about. We then link to the site so readers can read the full story.
The news story you’re talking about was done wrong. Instead of posting a couple of quotes, the editor posted the entire story and then linked to the source. Maybe he thought the story was kinda a short and posted the whole thing. It has been corrected.
I think you may have forgotten LaptopGamers. The forum is hacked by Islamic hacker. It shows something funny.
