If Apple figures out Gaming, MS is in trouble. It's not so much PC vs Mac, it is more, OSX vs Windows. I'm running a PC with OSX and it runs much better than the same PC running Vista. It is just so much faster and smoother.

I've always been a PC user and sure, I made fun of Apple. That was until I finally installed it and played with it (on a PC no less!) and now I love it. It's one of those things you sort of don't get until you do it. At least it was that way with me. If Apple releases a white box OSX distro for Intel based PCs, it'll be a very interesting indeed.

Get this... My Hackintosh running VM Ware, running Vista in the background, boots Vista in less time than my PC running Vista natively. It was one of the funniest things I ever saw.

25 seconds? Jesus christ. My comp takes a couple minutes lol. Is it still so fast even if you have a lot of stuff installed, because I know that's what's slowing me down?

- My Desktop Replacement Laptop takes like 10 minutes to load everything, but that includes loading up my Outlook etc.
- I use McAffee Antivirus, easy to install once, never worry about it after that, it just auto-updates itself, so no big deal
- I don't use Vista, but I heard it's bloated...I'm still running XP
- Speedwise my machine isn't too bad, except when I've got like 20 Firefox windows open and Photoshop, and Outlook, etc.
- My laptop hardly ever crashes. Maybe like once a year.
- No compatibility issues
- When I want to delete a program I just go to "Add/Remove Programs". I don't really add/remove many programs except little utilities that I might try out for a few days, but besides that it's almost always Outlook, Office, Photoshop, Firefox, MSN Messenger, not much new software to add/remove for me.

I think I know what you mean though. It's kind of like trying to explain the difference between Windows 95 and Windows XP or Windows NT and Windows 2000. They're just better, but hard to explain.

Maybe when it comes time to upgrade my laptop I'll consider trying out a mac.

Actually, you really do need to use it for a week before you discover what the fuss is all about. You can't tell the difference while playing with it at a Best Buy. Some of the things that makes the Mac better includes.

- Start up time: 25 seconds. Shut down in 5 seconds
- No anti-virus or anti-spyware required
- OSX is lean and mean while Vista is bloasted
- less overhead means it's faster
- It doesn't crash
- No compatibility issues
- You delete programs by dragging one icon to the trash can. No need for an un-install or worry about residual stuff.
- If you have to, it can run Windows

The main advantage is the overall experience. Once you start using it for a while, you'll start to wonder how the hell you were able to put up with with Windows all these years.

I got the Macbook Pro with the full the intention of installing Windows on it but decided to give the OS a week. Now, instead of installing Windows on the Macbook, I'm looking at installing OSX on my PCs.

I use both Windows and Mac (though admittedly the MacBook is my main personal machine, not Windows), and both work amazingly well for me. All the PC-bashing by Mac fanboys is too excessive. If Windows is really that bad, why isn't Apple the dominant market leader yet? Apparently the world still think Windows works relatively well.
