As some of you know, I sold my home theater system last month. Since then I have not been able to find a good replacement for it. As a result, this has created some very interesting ways to watch DVDs.
Right now, watching a DVD movie is done in two ways. The first is on the Dell XPS gaming laptop. This has a 17″ wide screen with a 1920×1200 resolution so the movies are super sharp. The only problem is the screen is kinda small and the speakers can’t really put out much volume. The second way to watch is with my dual desktop monitor setup.

If you haven’t discovered the dual monitors yet, you need to try it. The extra productivity it gives you is amazing. The Dell UltraSharp 2005FPW are 20.1″ wide screen monitor, that when combined together creates a 3360×1050 desktop resolution – enough to place three 1024×768 windows side by side and still leave space for the instant messaging window. It also allows me to work and watch a DVD at the same time. I put the movie on one screen and work on the other.

Because of the technology barrier, many would-be bloggers never start their blogs...
