LinkTrackr 2.0 Better Than Ever, Adds Awesome Split Test Feature

I logged into my LinkTrackr account this morning (like I do every morning) and noticed some dramatic changes. These new changes makes LinkTrackr one of the best URL and affiliate tracking tools on the Net.

For those who don’t know, LinkTrackr is a what I use to cloak my affiliate links. There are some very good reasons why you should always hide your affiliate links behind a service like LinkTrackr. They include:

  • Protect your affiliate commissions, especially ClickBank commissions
  • Project a more professional approach, like all serious affiliates do
  • Get better search engine rankings by hiding affiliate links from Google

Not only does LinkTrackr allow me to cloak my links behind my own custom short JCLink.me URL, it offers an awesome set of tracking tool so I can see how those links are performing. With the upgrade to 2.0, LinkTrackr just became a must have tool for all affiliate marketers and bloggers.

Split Test Multiple URLs with One Link

By far the most exciting feature of the new LinkTrackr is its ability to divide the traffic from one short URL into multiply landing pages. Let’s say your designer created three landing pages but you don’t know which one performs best. With LinkTrackr 2.0, you can upload all three landing pages and divide up the traffic to them anyway you want.

LinkTrackr Split Testing

In addition to the split testing, LinkTrackr 2.0 offers conversion tracking as well. This will automatically calculate your ROI and show you the best performing landing pages or offers. This takes the guess-work out of the campaign. You will instantly know what is working and what isn’t.

Test Out LinkTrackr for Free

LinkTrackr offers multiple plans. They range from free to the $27 per month Xtreme plan. The free plan allows you to create ten tracking links using the default LinkTrackr URL. If you want your own custom URL, you’ll have to upgrade to one of the paid plans. However, the free plan is a good way to test out the service. You can use the free plan for one full year.

The basic paid LinkTrackr plan costs $9 per month and allows 100 tracking links and up to 10,000 clicks per month. That should be good enough to get started with, but you can also try the Pro or Xtreme plans if you already have many affiliate links to cloak and track. You can upgrade or downgrade your account at any time, so you can always start small and upgrade as needed.

To try LinkTrackr, simply go and create your free account. If you’re signing up for any of the paid plans, then be sure to use the coupon code JOHNCHOW to get 20% off.

  1. Thanks for the review John. Version 2.0 looks much better and has much more powerful features that the previous version. Glad you liked it!

    1. Boy these changes are going to rock.

You guys really know how affiliates work.

Gobala two thumbs up for you.

      1. dotCOMreport says:

They’ll definitely rock. But doesn’t Google have something to say about link cloaking?

    2. Fairooz says:

Yes! This one definitely looks much more better 🙂

    3. Looks promising now

      Gonna try it out

      1. Hey John,

The split testing feature is what I like the most. Is that included in the free version too or at least in the $9 version?

    4. d3so says:

I dont think it’s reasonable for me to use a link service right now.
I wonder how it compares to shoemoneys linkcontrol.

  2. I wasn’t able to get through to see the site because your link isn’t redirecting properly.

I haven’t seen this service before, but it looks neat. And thanks for the discount link. 🙂

  5. Fairooz says:

on of the Great tool John! Really awesome one. I’ll have a look into it!

    1. You keep saying you’ll have a look into it Fairooz. In fact in the comment above you said “checking it out”.

This looks like you are vacillating.

      Please just do it.

      1. Sorry Fairooz, the above comment belongs to Hidden Object Games.

  6. Alex Neill says:

    Thanks John

This link tracking tool looks like it kiss ass, while need to check it out as I know stats and tracking are vitally important.

Over the last few weeks I have been checking my conversions, which were quite poor BUT now I worked on the stats and my conversions are much better, optins jumped up from 1-2 a day to 10 now 🙂

    Alex

    1. so which step you have taken for this.

For tracking and stats which software do you use ?

  7. fas says:

These are for affiliate markets who want to track their links, not for just bloggers, right?

    1. John Chow says:

Correct, the tool works even better for affiliate marketing.

  8. Kirk Taylor says:

Thanks for the defining the reasons for link cloaking on your site. It’s easy to assume that everyone knows what all the buzz words are and hard to find clear simple definitions.

  9. I heard about them in the past but never bothered about them.

    But now its looking promising

Im gonna try it out for sure

    1. PPC Ian says:

      Haroon,
I’m in the same boat as you. I’ve been looking for something like this. Now that I’m investing a lot more time and resources in my blog, I feel like this now makes sense for me (whereas in 2010 I was focusing on SEO projects that wouldn’t benefit from this as much).
      Best,
      Ian

  10. I already cloak all my links anyway, but this does look good for split testing.

  11. I’ve been using LinkTrackr for a few months now and purchased it using your link (you are welcome kind sir). I love it and having my own little URL is really bad ass. The new features are pure awesome and just reaffirm my purchase.

    1. PPC Ian says:

      Robert,
Thanks for sharing, this is really valuable info as I’m considering the purchase. Glad to hear you had such a positive experience.
      Best,
      Ian

  12. By installing YouRLS, one can emulate a good alternative of Link Tracker.Above all it is FREE

  13. I have tested the free version of LinkTrackr, but not the 2.0 version. It was awesome, but since I just tested if for a short time, I am interested to know about the viral effects of the toolbar. Do people actually share the affiliate links to Twitter or Facebook? (I don’t know why people would share affiliate links other than their own)

  14. Albert says:

I like the keyword feature of LinkTrackr for a WordPress Blog.

Simply choose a keyword and give it an affiliate link… like SEO Smart Links but automated with cash 🙂

    Albert

  15. I think I’ll give it a try, up to this point I have been using a Word press plug in for cloaking. I think the ability to track the link and do split tests is a valuable benefit.

    1. I have tried a WP plugin before. It is supposed to be able to cloak affiliate links. However, when the browser loads the link, it immediately shows the actual affiliate link.

  16. Mazzastick says:

This looks like a very useful service to have. I was wondering if there was a better way to keep track of your affiliate links.

  17. Neon SRT4 says:

Nice Article. But, i have seen a lot of link cloaking plug in’s. Is this plugin, much better than that?

    Can i track them?

    1. John Chow says:

It doesn’t cost anything to sign up for an account. Try it and see. It’s way more than just a plugin.

    2. d3so says:

I’ve been using ninja affiliate and have been satisfied with it.

  18. Does it work on a Drupal site?

  19. Wow this is awesome. Clickbank.com has some affiliate link cloakers but I doubt they are as efficient as this. An affiliate cloaker is important to anyone involved in affiliate marketing, not just to Super Affiliates.

  20. I like the idea of allowing me to split test – looks like a great tool that every Blogger and an affiliate marketer – who wants to be taken seriously- handy!

  21. ibnujusup says:

your review was so natural and awesome… you are a born genius john…
i dont know whether i get that ipad..but i’ll try my best

  22. Bounce House says:

We are new to LinkTrackr, so we’ll definitely try the free version before buying paid version. It will be nice to be able to use split testing without leaving LinkTrackr. Thanks!!!

  23. anitha says:

I have tried with free version but not know how to work with on
