Parasailing is a recreational kiting activity where you are towed behind a boat while attached to a specially designed canopy wing that looks a lot like a parachute. The harness attaches the rider to the parasail, which is connected to the boat by the tow rope. The boat speeds off, carrying the parascender and rider into the air. If the boat is powerful enough, two or three people can parasail behind it at the same time. However, the wind was low so everyone went into the air solo.
The rider has little or no control over the parachute. The activity is primarily a fun ride, and not to be confused with the sport of paragliding. While in the air, the rider can take in the view. It’s actually very peaceful and feels like you’re floating. I highly recommend you try it.
