Make A Theme Song for Shoemoney System and Win $1,000

written by John Chow on March 7, 2010

How one lazy bum made $176,697.50

Shoe is looking for a theme song for his Shoemoney System and he’s willing to pay $1,000 in cold hard cash for it as well.

Upload your ShoeMoney System theme song and post the URL in the comments below. We will accept submissions until March 26th and then we will have a final vote off for the winner.

The winner will receive $1,000.00 cash.

Shoe took a shot at creating his own theme song. You can see the results in the video below. While I got a good laugh out of it, I think Shoe should stick to making money online.

Free Shoemoney System Webinar for John Chow dot Com Readers

In addition to the theme song contest, I got Shoe to agreed to give Shoemoney System students who signed up with John Chow dot Com a special live webinar just for them. The Shoemoney System has over 1000 students in it and while Shoe will be doing live calls and webinars, trying to get your questions answered maybe difficult when so many others are trying to ask questions as well.

This private webinar will be a much smaller group and Shoe will be able to work with you on a more personal level. In addition, Shoe will be giving away a special prize to the student who gives him the best question of the night. I can’t tell you what the prize is but I guarantee you will love it.

If you’ve signed up for Shoemoney System via this blog, you’ll be receiving an email with the secret time and URL for the webinar. Any new students signing up between now and this Friday will also receive an invite to this exclusive event. I’m really looking forward to this webinar and I know you guys will receive some great benefits from it.

Hey John!

Slightly off-topic, but I'm dropping by to offer a HUGE thanks to you for getting me a great deal on The Shoemoney System.

I took advantage of an offer included in a recent mail-out from your service, Twitter Follower. I'm really stoked about it!

Thanks again, and it's been really worth my while subscribing to your Twitter Follower list.

I recommend that all the other readers here do the same.

can we hear the songs which contestants submitted

$1000 for a theme song.

This is a good opportunity for bloggers who knows music as well.

Once again, I really wish I hadn't signed up directly through Shoemoney.com - I need to start holding back when I want to sign up for something and wait for John to post about it...

Shoemoney used to have a really cool theme on his first show for Webmaster Radio.

I think Webmaster Radio did that theme and he didn't have the rights to it - I could be wrong though.

Very good reward but unfortunately, i am good in music.

I dont think anyone can do better on the theme song than Shoe :) ..Its epic

That was freakin hilarious, great video and awesome contest. I could use a extra grand.

Lookout Eminem, I see potential for a Shoemoney album in the future. "Online Skills to Pay the Bills" :)

Idols, the Shoemoney edition....great marketing ploy, I'm quite interested to see& hear the winning entry.....Jeremy's own jingle, wow.

unfortunately I`m not good at all with music :D

I already made a raw version of the beat for this, unfortunately I haven't heard any comments on shoe's blog yet, so I'll post it here.

I just need your opinion. There are no lyrics, cuz it's just the beat, but I'll write the s***t soon :D

Interesting beat, sounds pretty good. Have to hear it once you add the lyrics.

Sounds like a good start - if you need help with lyrics, let me know. I can write lyrics like you wouldn't believe, but I'm bad at throwing together beats.

Awesome, thanks for the info John.

This is all the more reason I need to get back on my guitar. I'll probably put something up. If anyone wants to partner with me let me know, I'm not the best at vocals. But I can sure as heck write a great guitar riff and probably come forth with some lyrics :)

Too bad that i am deaf tone. :(

Hi ! hello john chow, I notice Top Commentators on your site. is it advertising? if not how can i get one slot for it? :)

Best regards,
Robert

I think you should become top commentators for it. :)

Just do what it says. Comment and you can get a spot.

The more comments you have, the more likely you are to be in it. It's the top commentors on a 7 day running total.

great strategy anyways he can’t get good music for $1000 from a any music director.

Now I got it cleared John

I kind of like that dramatic instrumental at the beginning of his videos.

I see that number of comments has been substantially reduced... I see that my stat was 111 yesterday and today it is 11 less...is there a maintenance going on john?

The top commentators list is a running 7 day total. As a new day gets added, comments from the 7th day is no longer counted. You have to keep your commenting rate or you'll eventually drop off the list.

It's to try and prevent spammers like you from staying on top of the list.

I monitor when someone makes multiple one line comments to the same post. I'm pretty good with commentators trying to get on the top 10 list but Infopedia is coming quite closed to having his name removed from the list.

Haha, I dont even bother checking out top commentators list. I come to converse not to take link juice.

Do it John! Slap ZK@ Web Marketing Blog too with the beat down stick while you're at it.

He posts a ton of crap, half of it which never makes sense.

I see it as a two way street. I 'try' to leave useful comments; either help or questions - and in trade, a little link juice never hurts. The real thing is: the top commentators doesn't provide a lot of value on a whole, but gets you a smidge of SEO backlinking, so be careful about how much time you spend doing it if you ONLY want the juice.

I came to know that you are the top referrer of jonathan volk ipad contest...you are ahead of shoemoney...why don't you kickstart chow money system john?

wow...great strategy....he can't get good music for $1000 from a any music director

$1000 for the exposure that is being generated by the contest is not much. I think this is aa smart marketing move on Shoe's behalf.

shoe is that wise. This is the reason he become a millionaire.
