Hey! We’re back with another round of Make Money Online reviews. I had the reviews paused for a bit while I decide how I want to proceed.
Seeing that I already rule the number one spot for the search term make money online, I figure now would be a good time to mix it up and go after some other money making search terms. Read the new rules after you check out this latest batch of reviews.

How To Do A Make Money Review
I’ve decided to make a little change to the rules for the Review My Blog for a free linkback promotion. From now on, a review must link to the review rules post and the blog home page using any of the following anchor text:
- make money
- make money online
- make money at home
- making money
- make money from home
- make money on the internet
Here’s an example of what I want.
John Chow dot Com is a blog that helps you make money. He is offering to link to your blog if you review his blog.
Other than the above requirements, you are free to say whatever you want in the review – good or bad. You are also free to link to any articles I’ve written as part of the review. The post must be a review of this blog. You can not mix it with any other posts or reviews.
This is batch 79 but I have reviews complete all the way to batch 83 so I some catching up to do. Keep sending in those reviews and I’ll keep posting them.

Mixing anchor text? He, he, he. I guess I wasn’t so clueless after all.
John,
I’m glad you are openly following my advice.
For those that think the problem was in the robots.txt, think again. I posted yesterday, a detailed article explaining Google inner workings.
The fact that the ‘wrong’ robots.txt file was the one cached, means that the search engine had not considered the ‘fixed’ one yet for the actual index.
Search engines crawl/download -> cache -> index documents. The indexer reads the documents from the cache.
I provide proof of this in my article.
Way to go everyone for taking on John’s Make Money batch!
I am still toying with the idea but did recently offer a bloggers challenge if anyone is interested in taking it on.
Look for the Ferrari on my site and you will find it.
I think mixing up the anchor text will have a bigger impact now for you John. You will rise to the top in various combinations rather than extensively in one.

Ah.. so there’s the $4000 SEO tip… use different text for links or else google will take you off the main page.
I believe it was his robots.txt file that was the cause of that…

Dude, I love you, man, but I do not understand why you’re trying to hide this. You’re changing the rules because Google changed *their* rules. You lost your #1 ranking because there were too many people using the same link text to point to you.
Why does this need to be a huge secret? Why be anything less than completely honest? I don’t understand.
I didn’t know it was a secret. If you know why I changed the rule, then I’m sure everyone else knows as well.

Nice change to the rules John. Not only is it good for you, it’s a lot better for the bloggers since they’ll be able to write with less restriction on specific phrases. Makes it more comfortable
