Make Money Promoting Jobs for Web Professionals

The Internet is a wonderful and glorious thing. John is able to make over $40,000 a month from this blog and I am able to enjoy my full-time career as a work-from-home freelance writer. Interestingly enough, you can also make money by helping other people find work (and workers) on the Internet.

That’s where the affiliate program from Sensational Jobs comes into the picture. The online job posting board serves as the subject of today’s review and while the classified ads themselves may be of interest to you, it’s the affiliate program that might catch a few more eyes on this blog.

What Is Sensational Jobs?

Before I dive into a discussion of the affiliate program, we should take a look at what Sensational Jobs is all about in the first place.

In short, it serves as a job board for web professionals. If you’re a company looking to hire an art director, Flash developer, or industrial designer, this board may be worth trying. If you are an app developer, a web designer, or a media programmer, Sensational Jobs may be a good place to find some work.

Sensational Jobs focuses largely on web-based work, but it allows employers to seek both full-time employees and freelancers. The job board is not free for companies to use, however, as you must pay to post a job on the site.

A 90-day listing of your full-time salaried position will cost $225. A 60-day listing of a freelance position costs $65. You can also opt for the $45 “highlighted” or $25 “top of list” upgrades, should you so desire.

The job posting allows you to provide your company name, company logo, email address, job location, job title, and job description, as well as a specific area about how to apply for the position posted.

A Typical Job Posting

If you’re expecting something out of this world, you may come out disappointed. Sensational Jobs is “just” a job board, except it focuses exclusively on web professionals. You can search based on position name and job location, but each posting looks pretty standard.

For instance, here is the posting for an experienced Facebook app developer. The company has decided to keep its name confidential, but you get a clear outline of responsibilities and requirements. They’ve also included a preference for a developer in the Dallas/Fort Worth area and a detailed description of how to apply.

Make Money with the Affiliate Program

As mentioned at the top, Sensational Jobs has an affiliate program in place. There are several positive features about this program.

For starters, you earn 50% of every sale you generate. Taking an example of a standard full-time job posting ($225), you’d earn $112.50. Instead of waiting for the end of the month or waiting until you reach a certain threshold, Sensational Jobs will pay you out instantly via PayPal. No waiting, no mess. As soon as payment is received, you get your commission too.

While there is no affiliate dashboard or control panel to speak of, Sensational Jobs will provide you with a series of banners you can use to promote the site. There is also a widget that you can insert on your site that will display the latest job postings. Sales are tracked using session cookies, so long as you use the appropriate referral link.

The application process for the affiliate program consists only of four fields: name, company (optional), website, and PayPal email. The approval process, for me, took about two days. Your mileage may vary.

If your site visitors are of the web professional variety, promoting Sensational Jobs could prove to be quite lucrative. Considering that a single “full time” job posting nets you over $100, this could be a lot of money in the bank for you. The key, then, is targeting people who would not only hire such web professionals in the first place; but also targeting those who are willing to pay for a premium job posting.

    The site look nice!
But I think they should had more Canadian content πŸ™‚

    1. It was nicely designed. But the light blue for words with white background is not good for those who have eye problem.

      1. I actually really liked their design. Its modern, simple, and gets the point across. Great job!

        1. Agreed. I love the design. Very clean.

    2. Give them enough time and they probably will!

  2. Hey Michael,

Interesting affiliate program with a great payout. It may be worth a try for people with visitors itching to hire someone.

    I enjoyed reading your review.

    1. d3so says:

Yeah, the 50% payout is nice. I wonder how well it converts though.

      1. Dan Lew says:

I agree, the payout seems of interest t me, its a comfortable looking payout, wonder if they will set up pay per lead as well?

How is the site being marketed, aside from a decent review on John Chow?

The affiliate program does look sweet, but am wondering who is behind the site. As far as how will the owner (or owners) convert any traffic sent.

    Maybe he/she/they will chime in.

I too would like to know the history behind the site and how it’s been up.

      1. It definitely doesn’t look like its been around for too long. They have 11 pages of jobs, which, while respectable, is not as many as I would expect from a company promoting itself as a job hub.

        1. I think that they must be fairly new on the scene too.

If they make it it’ll be great but perhaps it may be a good idea to see where they are in 6 months or a year.

            Over to you Sherlock πŸ˜‰

          2. Thanks for the info. Their domain has been around for quite a while. But four drops isnot that impressive.

In this economy, I bet an affiliate program like this would convert. However, I don’t know how many qualified candidates you could really find thru something like this as opposed to LinkedIn.

  8. I saw many website to claim the money making site but they could not gave money to any one.I think that websites are spammer.

    1. SEO Cat says:

Maybe you didn’t try it in the right way, it’s difficult making money online but not imposible.

    2. Some are spammer. But I think this one is not spam site. Gotta try it out then if they don’t give us payout we have the power to make bad review for them.

  9. SEO Cat says:

50% it’s a really, really good pay, and paypal way I think is the best way to keep the transaction pretty good.

Just one question, did it works outside US?

  10. It’s a very nice way to make some money ina different way.

    Craigslist is free? πŸ™‚
Everytime I post a job on there my inbox is flooded with resumes. What kind of traffic would this site pull? And would it be worth it vs the free road?

    1. These are definitely all good questions to ask before going to post a job on their site. πŸ™‚ I’d personally rather use the free resources.

  12. Whatever works and is free is great. Sometimes, not too often, the free stuff is actually working better.

Who says you can only buy clothes and appliance in the World Wide Web? There are so many things that you can buy in the Internet. As a matter of fact, you can find here almost everything. If you want something, I think it is best to look for it in the World Wide Web. You just have to be careful because there are bogus sellers and shops in the World Wide Web. I would like to tell you about this shop I know. Here you can get wines. This is a great online wine shop.
The website is I love this shop because I can get great wines here. I love collecting wines. This is a great display for my bar and this is also great when I have visitors. I am very satisfied with the wines that I am getting from No wonder, many of my friends love this online wine shop too.
Here in, you can find a huge selection of wines. If you are looking for sarabi, melen, sarap or any other, I am sure that it’s in If you want the complete list, visit its website now. You can see the list with their prices. The prices of wines in are all very affordable.
If you want to buy wines, I highly suggest This is a tried and tested wine shop. The quality of wines has already been proven by a lot of consumers. If you want proof, visit the website and try it for yourself.

Should be a great program once there are some more jobs posted that should make it easie to convert traffic. Right now i am afraid it might not convert to well despite the attractive payout.
