[...] I started reading John’s blog a couple months ago having found it via a search on monetizing blogs. Having been in the game of making money online for quite some time, John is well versed in the many techniques for making money online. Everything from affiliates to having your own tech site is covered throughout his daily posts. While his blog does cover other topics such as investing, cars and other more personal categories, his series on monetizing his blog has been a big hit for him. He gives details on ad positioning, sizes, which forms of advertising do best for him, etc. as well as how he sources all the material he uses for his posts. All of it is very good reading and well worth any blogger’s time to research. [...]

Hey John,

:) I just found your blog today, and I loved this entry particularly. Thank you for being so upfront with your stats - it's awesome to know what works and what doesn't work. And it's really encouraging to read that it IS possible to earn that much on a blog each month.

You've just gained a new regular reader!
Thanks again,
Christina - the Happy Slob

[...] December isn’t the best time for the year when it comes to Internet traffic. People are thinking about gifts and spending time with family than surfing the Internet. As a result of the holidays, the blog received just 94,697 visitors and 184,640 page views. This is well off the 217,876 unique visitors and 329,853 page views posted in November. [...]

[...] I don’t expect traffic to return to normal levels until after the New Year. Christmas maybe over but we’re still on holidays. This will have a negative effect on blog income. However, I still expect to be able to beat last month’s income level. I’ll report on that next year. [...]
