Meet Me At The Tazzu Wordpress Camp
I will be speaking at the Tazzu Wordpress Camp on Wednesday, April 30 if anyone want to meet up and say hello. The camp is being held at the Network Hub, 3rd floor - 422 Richards Street, in downtown Vancouver. The event is free to attend and there’s free coffee and doughnuts as well.
In addition to myself, other well known Vancouver bloggers will be speaking. Topics range from making money with Wordpress (guess who is talking about that?) to “The Joys of Amateur Blogging.” I don’t expect this to be a very advanced camp so beginners need not worry about stuff flying over their heads. You can see the list of speakers and topics here.
The after party will be held at Steamworks in Gastown and I believe the first round of beer is free. You may RVSP to the event at the Tazzu Wordpress Camp Facebook page.
So far, we have 44 confirmed RSVPs. I’m not sure how many people the Network Hub can hold but it would be cool to packed the place. See you there!

John - I wish I livedin Vancouver.
What’s the angle on something like this? Do they try and sell some services? How does something like this make money if it’s free to attend?
Reply to this commentOK. now what time should I be picked up at the airport? John, will you come and collect me!? I’m coming…
Reply to this commentOh, and I’ll be giving a speech about getting started blogging. This will be the second in my series…
Actually, I wonder if I should start a group here in Taipei… Anyone interested… pls visit my blog and send me a note to let me know…
Reply to this commentThere’s no angle. It’s just a networking event where you can meet others and learn something. The event is sponsored by some local companies but there will be no sale pitches.
Reply to this commentI hope that I can go there too.
Reply to this commentThat is what I was thinking.. another reason I need to move to Vancouver!!!
Reply to this commentThey probably have the same thing in the States though!
Reply to this commentI wish I could go!
Reply to this commentSome people said Nigerian infested entrecard. Is it true john? Can you have a look on this?

Reply to this commentGood luck with the event.
Reply to this commentI would go if my blog was as successful as yours. I just spent the last of my sites monthly funds on buying a few things. Of course the money went back in to the site. You gotta spend money to make money! I would go if I could get a plane ride there. Or you could schedule some national conference about making money online blogging close to me
Indianapolis, IN would work lol. Thank JC.

These days no body talk on “how to make money”
Reply to this commentLet me think if I have time, i will be there.
John are you going to reveal the “real secret” of making money online at this event?

Reply to this commentCamp huh?
Well, now that multiple people, forums and blogs have commented on what I first said about the serious problems with 2.5 I hope this camp results in a “to do” list for 2.5.1. And get the move on for some fixes for all the problems, like the widgets, the image upload and insert, the delete button, the myriad of broken plugins, and the extremely long list of issues at wp.org forum 4.
Reply to this commentI wish I could meet you there john … Perhaps another time … I am sure you will have good videos for us here.
Reply to this commentSounds cool. I’d go if I lived closer.
Reply to this commentThere are 2 days until Tazzu. How many seats have you filled?
