Last Day to Win The Web

Tomorrow is your last day to enter the Winning The Web contest, which must have a billion dollar of prizes by now. OK, so the prize pool is “only” at $14,535 but that’s still a decent size. If you haven’t entered yet, you’re running out of time. Better get on it now.

Grace Cheng Launches New Website

Everyone’s favorite money girl, Grace cheng, has given her site a brand new look. The new site looks extremely professional with a ton of information. Grace seems to have fully embraced videos as well. This is a very good thing since she looks really good on camera. Check out the new Grace Cheng.

What Would You Buy with a $629,000 Credit Limit

It seems the credit card company must really like Scott Wainner of W Revenue. They’ve increased the limit on his credit card from $40,000 to $629,000!

The dream of charging a brand new Lambo on the card was short lived. The next day, the credit card company told Scott there was a glitch in the system and that his limit was increased to “only” $69,000.

If Making Money Online Doesn’t Work Out

If your attempt(s) at making money online doesn’t work out, at least you know you can eat for free.

The last day is on April 1. He extended it this week(more prices).

Chris Jacobson March 30, 2008 at 6:46 pm

Nice McDonald’s video! You should try doing that John and video tape your attempt for your readers.

DeboHobo March 31, 2008 at 12:10 pm

The guy in the video is pretty lame. Is he so broke he can’t afford the Dollar Menu at McD’s. Such a shame.

Mayank Rocks March 30, 2008 at 11:27 am

That finance blog was really good looking and everything embeded was really perfect.

Kacper March 30, 2008 at 11:39 am

New Grace Cheng looks really…I need some time to get used to it.

InvestorBlogger March 31, 2008 at 10:36 am

Yeah. I’m so glad.. I love the look, perhaps a little busy, but could be worth copying. Also, her monetization is quite different. Clearly she’s using her own field of expertise. Worth noting.

InvestorBlogger April 1, 2008 at 9:14 am

I love Grace’s new update. … I just signed up. Thanks for the link. :D

Looks like Mc Donald’s needs to beef up on their security.

Jorge March 30, 2008 at 12:03 pm

Eat that food and you’re gonna die quickly.

Affiliate Confession March 30, 2008 at 12:17 pm

Maybe this is a little off topic here, but it looks like your blog has been turned over to the Reverse Funnel System with 4 ads now runnning. You might want to put a limit on that one.

Robert March 31, 2008 at 1:28 pm

Good point. Are those private ads? If so, has anyone ever tried the RFS? I have thought about writing a post about it. I have always wondered how legitimate it is as a system for making money.

Kit March 30, 2008 at 12:46 pm

No free McDonalds for Canadian. We order in the first window, and pay at the second window while we get the food.

VlogHog March 30, 2008 at 1:27 pm

I wonder if Mr. Wainner had charged something over 600,000 dollars would he had been in any kind of legal trouble?

Terry Tay March 30, 2008 at 8:13 pm

I’m sure there would have been many people that would have taken advantage of that boost in the credit limit.

He wouldn’t have been in any legal trouble, but I would say some financial trouble would have been had.

Imagine the the interest charges on that if you didn’t pay it off by the end of the month

Robert March 31, 2008 at 1:58 pm

Yikes! Interest at 9% annually is about $4500 per month!

Wade March 30, 2008 at 2:10 pm

Wow, stealing from McDonalds. That was pretty crafty though. Grace’s site looks nice, looks like a NY stock exchange :D
Tip for all, don’t leave your site down overnight, then wonder why you didn’t have any money in your Adsense. I was in the middle of upgrading to the new Wordpress version 2.5 and left all my plugins disabled overnight. I woke up and was wondering what was going on.

Oliver March 30, 2008 at 2:39 pm

haha thats soo funny

Simon Lau March 30, 2008 at 2:40 pm

I’m digging the new grace cheung page, very clean looking. Rivals places llike globeinvestor/bloomberg in terms of layout and what not.
McDonalds video was good for a laugh!

Oliver March 30, 2008 at 2:40 pm

thats soo funny

Chetan March 30, 2008 at 3:42 pm

Oh so the winningtheweb contest finally ending after a load of clues for getting more points everyday.

Robert March 31, 2008 at 8:26 am

Yea, I couldn’t possibly keep up with all those clues. Insane.

Affiliate Confession March 30, 2008 at 4:42 pm

Looking forward to the results of the Winning The Web Contest and I’ve been racking up a few points. Hopefully I’ll win something.

Syed Balkhi March 31, 2008 at 1:47 pm

I only donated the prize … didn’t bother entering

Erik Fuller March 30, 2008 at 5:12 pm

hahahah thats pretty creative and  . If ever in a worst case scenario, I will know one thing.

mike huang March 30, 2008 at 11:38 pm

Seems like Ms. Grace Cheng is trying this VLOGGING technique from scratch. She looks very stiff and it really is boring. It could be because I’m not interested in that type of FOREX stuff, but I don’t think there is anything interesting about it. It is actually better to type down everything.

Infogle March 31, 2008 at 5:51 am

mcdonal’s really have to take better care… if not then may be they will other side of the window shooting the same video

Affiliate Confession March 31, 2008 at 6:07 am

If I had a $629,000 Credit Limit I might get that ZR1 Corvette you blogged about a couple months back.

Robert March 31, 2008 at 8:13 am

I’d go for a Ferrari.

Affiliate Confession March 31, 2008 at 8:23 am

Ferraris are nice, but it might take you all of that credit limit to get one. The Vette is only $100,000 and probably comes close to the performance of the Ferrari.

Syed Balkhi March 31, 2008 at 1:46 pm

I’d go with a Merceded McLaren

Robert March 31, 2008 at 1:59 pm

I want the Ferrari from the Miami Vice movie. It has a special “coolness” about it.

Affiliate Confession March 31, 2008 at 6:13 am

Ha, funny video. It’s great the things people tape themselves doing these days.

Hannah March 31, 2008 at 6:45 am

I’d probably buy a house on the card (a small one) just for the novelty of being able to say I bought a house on credit.

And no, that idea was not thought through at all.

Robert March 31, 2008 at 7:50 am

I have one with a $40,000 credit limit. Not enough for a lambo, but enough for a lot of different cards.

DeboHobo March 31, 2008 at 12:13 pm

Mine are all maxed out

Robert March 31, 2008 at 2:38 pm

Ouch.

Andos March 31, 2008 at 12:16 pm

I hope I can be someone like you John. Makes a lot of money from my blog. Thanks 4 all information

Syed Balkhi March 31, 2008 at 1:45 pm

Video is funny but it is still stealing …

Too Much Vodka April 1, 2008 at 12:51 pm

That is kinda lame… those people are trusting him!
