World’s First $2 Billion House

For most people, their house represents the bulk of their net worth. However, this rule doesn’t apply to Billionaires. And when you’re worth $43 billion, like Mukesh Ambani is, you can afford to spurge a bit for a crib.

Mr. Ambani was a feeling a need for more space in his new place and decided to build his house on top of his the 22-story Mumbai Tower. When completed, the residence will reach 550 feet into the sky and offer 400,000 square feet of living space. Total cost: $2 billion.

Kind of makes Bill Gates’ $125 million home look like some sort of slum. Check out what kind of house $2 billion buys.

Mostly Lisa’s $100,000 Backend Advertising

Inspired by my speech at WordPress Camp, Lisa Bettany has came up with a very innovative way to make money online. Canada’s sexiest blogger is offering “Backend Advertising.” The cost is only $100,000. Any takers? I personally feel Lisa can get more money by going to a “per cheek” pricing model.

    - Instead of spend $2 Billions in a mansion this billionaires should use their money in better causes like decrease the poverty in Africa.
    - I wouldn’t advertise in the butt because it’s too flat. I like rounded ones.
    - The video was really interesting. Simple and informative.

Before you criticizes someone for not using his money to decrease poverty in Africa (or give to any charities), ask yourself how much you have given. If the answer is zero, then you have no right to criticize. And for your information, Mr. Ambani gives 100’s of millions every year to charities. If he wants to spend $2 billion on a house, I say more power to him!

    2008-05-03 06:11:05
    MyAvatars 0.2

Man, after donating hundreds of millions of dollars, all he has left is enough money to buy anything he or his family could ever want… What a sacrifice.

    2008-05-03 06:16:25
    MyAvatars 0.2

And yes, I donate my time and money to charities, and I don’t even own 1 house yet. I’m not saying there is anything wrong with buying a 2 billion dollar house, or a 100 billion dollar house for that matter, but billionaires don’t impress me when they donate millions of dollars, it’s like they dropped a penny out of their pocket, yet we praise and give them all the publicity they want.

I criticize because even though I make little money I donate money to poor people in Brazil to buy food and stuff.
Spend too much money in house that he isn’t even gonna use 1/10 of the space is a quite waste of money. Doesn’t matter how much money he makes, he could save so many lives with this money.

I personally liked the advertisements that were put on top of warehouse roofs close by the airport - everyone flying in on a plane would see them.

    Enjoy,

    Ari,
I think John would have this advice to say for beginners. Branding: Make your website or blog your own. Don’t attach “blogspot” onto it. You’re just giving them free publicity. Get hosting from Bluefur or my favorite, BlueHost, and then upload your blogging software to their server. This will separate your website from the others, well, at least it’s a start! Secondly, work on grammar. People will not read what you’re writing, even if it’s the secret to life, if the grammar is poor. Good luck!!!
