Motive Interactive is partnering up with Publisher Challenge for a $2,000 March Madness contest. The cool thing about this contest is there are no minimum requirements to enter.

We’ve excited to partner with MotiveInteractive which are launching their first competition on PublisherChallenge!

They are coming out with a bang, offering a guaranteed prize pool of $2,000 with no minimum prerequisite required for the Main Prize category.

Prizes include a VIP Las Vegas Trip for Two, Slingbox PRO-HD, 2.0 GHz MacBook, and one fancy telescope to name a few.

The contest is pretty straight forward. Make as much affiliate income as possible using Motive Interactive offers and you’ll win a prize if you’re in the top 5 at the end of this month. There’s also VIP prizes for affiliates who can run large volume. Go to Publisher Challenge for the full rules.

I've sign up under other referral. :(
BTW, good luck to everyone.

Yet another game to play!

Looks cool.. Will check it out later on :)

Very cool, looking into this right now...

I like contests as many people do.I consider them to be some kind of decorations of the everyday life. They make me curious about the winners.

Thanks John and everyone for the kind words and good comments! Motive is growing everyday and we want you to be part of that.

I'll have some of this. :) I have found I'm joining lots of different contests lately. :)

Each day brings more and more awesome contests on the web!

Motive Interactive is quite ingenious to come out with such a good contest. It's a win win for both parties. Nice one.

Keep the contest coming. I love it.

Thanks for the plug John, and thanks for all the kind comments so far!

PublisherChallenge really is a win-win-win for everyone involved. And actually another win when you factor in the advertisers.

As I write this, there are currently four participants who have started generating commissions. As it stands, you currently only need to generate $6 to take 4th place and 5th place is completely open.

In response to those who have suggested working as a team - I had never considered that! While that would certainly work in gaining a huge edge in winning a prize, it would also involve a tremendous amount of trust. By sharing an affiliate account (which I'm not sure is allowed in the first place; it would be network dependant), you'd essentially be sharing the commissions generated with your partner(s), so how you split the income generated would be the major issue.

I personally wouldn't recommend working as a team for that reason alone.

However, the idea of "teams" as a whole is certainly intruiguing and I'll have to consider how I might be able to incorporate that idea in the future. For example, I could run a competition in which was for teams of 2, and you would choose a partner on PublisherChallenge and pool up both your totals, yet you'd both have completely separate affiliate accounts. I think that's the solution to the issues I mentioned above.

Great ideas guys...

It seems fair enough. Anyway if you dont win you matbe ending up winning more money from your extra effort, seems a win win situation.

we could always form a team, which would use the same promotional code during the competition. Group of promoters should do better than single agents. However, group of stumbling newbies is unlikely to make anything while seasoned marketing veterans clean the table.

I'm sure I don't stand a chance to win, but this does look like a good contest with some cold hard cash on the table! Its worth a shot (even in the dark)! Thanks for the link John!

The prizes are awesome. I need to get in on this.

Nice one, should be a good one to get going on. I may just use this oppurtunity to test out my PPC skillz!

I need a MAC laptop, so its time to make some money

Talk about a win-win for both sides involved! It reminds me of the Wealthy Affiliate membership contest, where anyone who refers 300+ new members get to go to Las Vegas for a WA meet-up.

Plus, it's not just the money that's the great thing about the deal - consider the fame, recognition and standing that would come with being the winner of the challenge. It's a bit like Jaime Lichuk leveraging her Next Internet Millionaire stardom to launch an e-book (and also a printed version) of her experience.

Keep the contests coming. Love them!

So, I guess everyone's efforts would actually be making the money one person would win?

You seem to forget that you make money when you do affiliate marketing. In this case, if you happen to make more money than the person next to you, it can win you prizes.

Hello Melody, we could always form a team, which would use the same promotional code during the competition. Group of promoters should do better than single agents. However, group of stumbling newbies is unlikely to make anything while seasoned marketing veterans clean the table.

Anyway, remember there is always that VIP tier so if you are good enough there is something extra for you. Also, like John says below, you get to keep the money you make. Sort of a win-win, eh?

Jake,

While I agree with you that "stumbling newbies" won't make it far in the contest, isn't that true of Internet Marketing in general? After all, a guru with an established list will always beat a newbie affiliate just getting their feet wet in Internet Marketing.

In short, while the littler guys may not stand a chance, that's not entirely different from how it is even outside the contest environment.

But internet marketing is still marketing, and the "little guys" can break into better and larger audiences with the right post or content...viral media is showing us that very thing..

Melody, dont look this as a contest, just do your maximum effort and you will make more money, winning or not, at the end you will win anyways.

Exactly.

It's just to motivate you. If anything, thank them later for showing you how to work an awesome revenue stream.

Awesome contest! Let the games begin! :)

I guess this is a new way to motivate people to actually particpate. I hope these contest will be fair.

But unfortunately there is no way to judge the fairness.

Games?

Affiliate marketing is all work!

Seems like Tyler has a lot of work in front of him :)
