My Affiliate Dot Com Live! Blogging Setup

My Road Warrior Blogging Setup

Here’s a photo of the blogging setup I am using to live blog the Affiliate Dot Com Live! I am sitting right at the front row with a direct line of sight to the stage. This allows me to get up close and personal with the featured speakers,

This is the first time I’m using the new Macbook Air on the road and I have to tell you it is AWESOME! The battery last long enough to cover the entire day’s event. It’s so light I hardly feel the weight of it on my shoulder when it’s in my ATGO gear bag.

While the Air has a great multi-touch trackpad, I still prefer to use a mouse. For travelling, I use the Logitech VX Nano. It’s fully programable and come with a super small USB receiver that you can keep plugged into the laptop without worry about breaking it.

The sharp eye reader will see that there is a Canon HFS100 camcorder next to the Mac Air. Yes, I am video taping the sessions. However, I will not be able to post them due to copyright. However, I am allowed to post a video showing the highlights from the day’s event. Look for the first highlight video later tonight.

How durable is the MacBook air. Can it withstand a drop to the floor? I’ve always wondered.

      1. Hey John,

Nice set up. I prefer using a mouth too with a lap top. Don’t have the Air yet though.

What is it sitting on top of your camera? It looks like a duster or something like that.

        1. I meant a mouse. I corrected it right after pressing the submit button but it didn’t get registered.

Me too prefer a mouse. Mouse makes you complete your work much faster. I always feel that people who don’t use a mouse on laptops don’t do much work.

          2. Yes through mouse our work can be more fast and more accurate.

The setup looks so simple. Too bad they won’t let you post full videos. How bout audio? 😉

      1. If video is copyrighted then audio will be obviously copyrighted too. Don’t you think?

        1. Harshad says:

HAHAHA… how about a video without an audio? I don’t think they will mind that 😛

          1. I will be happy with the day highlights …

Do not forget to add delicious food photos.

There are everything that you need..

You haven’t mention anything about the internet connection though..

    1. Why would he mention it? He was connected to the internet through the Air.

    2. Harshad says:

Almost all conferences, events, hotels, coffee shops etc. are wifi enabled in the US. This means you have an Internet connection everywhere you go.

      1. Comeon Abhik … He is in USA not in India.

Even in India you will be able to get hot spot in many good hotels.

        1. Harshad says:

On my trip to USA via London, Mumbai airport was the only one that had free Internet (WIFI). Heathrow and JFK had paid Internet.

          1. Robin Gupta says:

Wow that means India got extra marks.

But surprised to see that they had paid wi fi ,,,
