My Phone Number In Hong Kong
written by John Chow on June 11th, 2006
If anyone needs to contact me while I’m in Hong Kong, My HK cell number is 011-852-6127-0031. I just got this set up yesterday. The number will only be used for the three days while I’m here. Unlike the US and Canada, where setting up a new cell number requires a lot of paper works and fees, all you need to do here is walk into a 7-11 and buy a pre-paid SIM card. They cost as low as $48HK ($6US) and goes up depending on how much airtime you need. You need an unlock cell phone to use them however.

I found that to be the case in many Asian countries.
And if your cellphone is locked you just ask the mobile phone store in Asia (the one’s you find the markets) to unlock your phone.
