My Phone Number In Taipei
written by John Chow on June 4th, 2006
If anyone needs to contact me while in Taipei, my local cell number is 0958-216-176. If you are calling from international, or from Skype out, the number is 011-886-958-216-176. Setting up the local number cost $600NT. That’s about $20.00US, and gives me 45 minutes of airtime plus 100 free text message. For some reason, text messaging is very big in Asia. I doubt I will use this feature. Stephen has so far being unable to find anyone to unlock his cell phone.
Getting use to the US/NT exchange takes some adjustment and it’s really quite a lot fun. For example, I spent $3,300 on lunch today. And you should see my bank balance when it’s expressed in NT dollars! ![]()
