Network With Me At The Following Events

written by John Chow on November 11th, 2008

Want to meet up with me face to face? Here are the networking events I’m planning to attend for the rest of November. There might be other events in between but these are the ones I’ve committed to attending. See you there!

Nov. 13 - Get Connected With Blink

Blink Media is the producer of GetConnected TV and they’re offering a behind the scenes look at their award winning show. Get Connected with Blink will allow you to network with business leaders, take a tour of the GetConnected studio and enjoy a variety of appies and a couple of complimentary drinks. You could even appear on the show. The event starts this Thursday at 5:30pm at Blink Media Works, 319 West Hastings Street, 2nd floor. Tickets are $19.

Nov. 14 - National Philanthropy Day Luncheon

Vancouver’s 11th Annual National Philanthropy Day Luncheon takes place on Friday November 14 at the Westin Bayshore Hotel. This year’s keynote speaker is global activist, fundraiser and author Lynne Twist. Philanthropy is something I’m getting into more and more. The true success of a man is not how much he makes, it’s how much he gives. Cost of the luncheon is $50 and yes, it does all go to charity.

Nov. 15 - Dot Com Pho

If you have some free time this Saturday, then why not join us for a nice hot bowl of Pho and great networking with fellow bloggers. You might even appear on the weekly Dot Com Pho video. To find out the location of this Saturday’s event, follow me on Twitter. There is no cost to attend Dot Com Pho. As a matter of fact, you may even get an “I’m Blogging This” T-shirt for free.

Nov. 20 - Vancouver Blogger Meet Up

The November meet up for Vancouver bloggers will take place on Thursday, November 20 at Gene’s Cafe. Raul tells me it’s a really cool, hip coffee shop at the corner of Kingsway and Main. If it’s not, then you can blame him. Cost to attend the meet up is a token $1 and if you don’t pay it, we’re not going to chase you for it. RSVP here.

As you can see, Vancouver is a really hot networking town. I look forward to meeting you at any of the above events.

Maybe I’ll get into the Twitter shout-outs this time instead of being too early with my shout-out. :)

It does look like Vancouver is a good town to be network in and kudos on the philanthropic endeavors.

John;

Like everyone else on this comment thread - I wish I lived close enough to attend these events.

I live in Los Angeles - do you or anyone else who reads this comment - know of any Dot Com Pho type events in LA? There’s got to be some. I wonder if you could start some sort of blog meet up forum or something for people to connect?
