New Toy – Logitech AudioStation

DHL dropped off a new toy at my doorsteps today. As far as I know, I am the first North American site to receive this product so I guess it’s to my benefit to get the review out as soon as possible. Logitech announced the AudioStation back on August 17 and will be shipping the new product at the end of this month, just in time for the holiday shopping season.

The Logitech AudioStation is a high-end iPod ghetto blaster. The unit is very big – note how small it makes my Moto cell phone look. At $299.00 the AudioStation should compete very well against its main rival, the Bose SoundDock. I’m looking forward to comparing the two head to head.

Logitech is not the only company sending holiday products for review. There are whacks of companies wanting their products reviewed or feature for the Q4 bonanza. Q4 is a really fun time to own a hardware review site! The item I’m looking more forward to is the S271 AMD X2 notebook from MSI. The coolest thing was I didn’t even have to email them for it – they came to me. I guess sending me the notebook makes up for the fact they didn’t invite me to Shanghai for their 20th Anniversary party.

Hey Bob! You can go ahead and buy your Dell or Asus now. I won’t have to worry about us having the same notebook during CES. 🙂

Intel also dropped off a new toy, but I can’t tell you what it is…

I can give you a hint though. Think of the number 4. 😉

I want a new laptop now.

  3. You know why you didn`t get invited to Shanghai? Because you went to the ECS Factory Tour, at least that was the explanation they gave me.

Now I´ll have to make the JF House Tour and invite everyone to Chile, except for those MSI mofos 😡

That’s it! MSI is not invited to my party at CES! Unless they send me a few more notebooks…
