New Webinar – How To Start A Tech/Review Blog

I’m hosting another free webinar next Thursday and you’re invited. This time, I’m going to show you how to start your own technology or review based blog. I got my start online with technology sites and they’re still one of the most profitable blogging niches you can get into.

Some of the biggest blogs on the Internet are technology sites. However, you don’t need to be the size of an Engadget or Tom’s Hardware to make a lot of money with a tech site. There are thousands of tech bloggers making very good livings while flying under the radar. When you sign up for this webinar, you’ll find out how they’re doing it.

Joining me for the Webinar will be three bloggers who all run successful technology blogs.

Stephen, Bob and Gary will share their knowledge and explain how they got started and how they turned their blogs into full time business ventures. There will be a live Q&A afterwards to answer any questions you may have.

THIS IS A PITCH FREE WEBINAR

Like my past few webinars, this one is 100% pitch free. We have nothing to sell at the end. The webinar is set of an hour but we’ll willing to stick around longer if there are more questions. Space is limited to only 1,000 people. Sign up now to ensure you get a seat.

  1. John,
    I’m there man. Webinars rock!

By the way, the time says, Time: 7:00 PM – 8:00 AM EDT.
Should say 8:00 pm. Unless it’s gonna be an overnight webinar.

    1. You got sharp eyes.

Its long time to see Gary … he is also not attending dot com pho these days. Would love to see him … Michael is also good in gadgets … why his name is not there ?

      1. John Chow says:

Michael writes for tech sites. He doesn’t run them.

        1. Valid Point John …

@ Michael – What is the reason that you are not having your tech blog ?

          1. Michael Kwan says:

No real reason, other than to avoid a conflict of interest if at all possible. I do have my own site for fighting video games — Hadouken Online — but it’s not really my focus. I get my gadget fix writing for others and I’m okay with that.

          2. Kevin Kimes says:

Gotta do what you like and what doesn’t stress you out. 🙂

      2. You can earn a lot of money in advertising with a tech blog.

        1. PPC Ian says:

That’s very true. There’s always advertisers willing to buy ads on such blogs.

          1. d3so says:

Tech blogs are very popular. My very first blog was tech related.

    2. d3so says:

Let’s teach people to make blogs in an OVERsaturated niche 🙂

  2. Michael Kwan says:

    “Time: 7:00 PM – 8:00 AM EDT”

    Wow, a 13-hour webinar!

    1. John Chow says:

Good catch! I’ve corrected it. 🙂

      1. Michael Kwan says:

And one other part to running a successful tech blog? Hire a good writer. 😉

        1. Abhik says:

          Charges??!!

          1. Michael Kwan says:

Feel free to contact me for more information.

        2. Handbags says:

Michael, You could earn so much more money having your own site 🙂 Believe me. If you can’t create your site, I can help you create your site the way you like! If it’s money that is holding you back, I would do it for peanuts, just to know your doing something you love. Your site could be the next TechCrunch Site if you really wanted it that bad. And then you would never have to work for anyone ever again 🙂

    2. d3so says:

That could’ve made it to Guiness are the longest webinar. 😉

  3. jpassmore says:

REALLY looking forward to this John. Great idea for a webinar. Thanks 🙂

  4. Alex says:

The Global Success Club that you sent me, is that really for real John?

  5. PsychicJim says:

Information overload! How does one deal with it? Oh, I have registered for the webinar.

  6. max says:

hey i run a tech blog! http://zedomax.com shameless plug, but dont ask me, i cant have more competition

  7. Frugal Chick says:

I just recently launched a similar site, but it’s mostly deals. I through in a review probably like once a week. My Deals Website. I’ll check out the webinar to see if I can do anything else to improve it.

    1. Handbags says:

You should do a few reviews per. day. That would increase traffic and earnings big time 🙂 But remember you have to be patient and market your site. The more time and effort you put into it and patience you have, the more you will get out of it. Things take time, but in the long run you will be so happy and have a very successful site.

  8. fas says:

This one is going to be an interesting one.

    1. PPC Ian says:

Agreed! John is really on a roll with these webinars. One great webinar after another, I hope to make this one!

      1. Handbags says:

I would love to go to his webinars, but the hours are bad for me. The time he has the webinars are time times I get my daughter ready for bed. Hopefully someday things work out so I can attend one of them. Because they are so worth it!

  9. Abhik says:

    Registered..
John, can you please arrange your future webiners about 4~5 hours before this?
I mean, if you start the webiners on 2pm or 3pm EDT, Indian users like me will attend them easily. It will be 12:30am/1:30am here in India.

  10. I’ll register and listen to this one. I could use some more tips on getting a site like this going.

  11. SEO Bass says:

For a successful techblog to earn good cash needs a good writer , though you can copy content and make changes but you will definitely drive more traffic with unique content.

    1. Handbags says:

To be a good writer, takes time and research. You need to be personal in your articles and at the same time have good grammar and great knowledge. I also find it better to have 400-500 word articles, because most people get bored reading anything longer and will just skim through it.

  12. fazal mayar says:

So many profitable niches…technology is just one of them!

    1. Handbags says:

And Fashion is another great Niche 🙂 I also love technology as well. And I might just create another blog one of these days.

  13. Hey John! Do you have any experience with medical blogs and do you know if they can be monetized as well?

Look forward to the webinar… Thanks.

    1. Michael Kwan says:

I imagine getting into pharmaceuticals, natural remedies, and other health-related products can be quite profitable if implemented well, but there is a general distrust/apprehensiveness about that industry.

      1. Handbags says:

I agree, in order for people to trust these sites, they would need to have testimonials or have writers on there that have degrees in natural medicine. That would help!

  14. Kevin Kimes says:

A couple of great thing about a tech blog is that sometimes you might just get your hands on the latest equipment before everyone else. And, you can use your website credentials to get into big shows like E3 🙂

    1. Handbags says:

I would not mind creating a tech blog that got that popular. That would be sweet if I got into big shows like E3. I’m getting more tempted into create a tech blog soon!!

      1. Kevin Kimes says:

You don’t need a big popular site to get into the trade shows. I’ve been to E3, and some of my friends go almost every year. If you have an established site with real content and readers, you can probably get in.

  15. I believe some tech bloggers also have the privilege to use some gadgets before they even hit the market. That itself is a great deal.

    1. Handbags says:

Omg that would be sweet if I could use some gadgets before they came out. I would love that. I should pick out a domain today and create a site!

  16. I will try to be in attendance on this one.

  17. Joel says:

Thanks John! Looking forward with much anticipation.
