OC Restaurant Week – The Winery

Vancouver has Dine Out Vancouver. Orange County had OC Restaurant Week. Both are great events in which to try out the area’s best restaurants at a price that won’t break your bank. The main difference between the two is Dine Out last 17 days, while Restaurant Week last a week.

For my first Restaurant Week experience, I decided to try out what everyone says is the best restaurant in all of Orange County: the award winning Winery Restaurant and WIne Bar.

The Winery is located at The District in Tustin, California. The name suits it. The restaurant has wines everywhere you look. From the moment you enter, to sitting at your table, there’s always a bottle of wine near by. Want to host a wine tasting event? They got your covered, and then some. Want to know which wine to pair with your dish? Sommelier of the Year, William Lewis will take care of you.

The service at The Winery was beyond amazing. We were waited on by at least half a dozen people. I’m not sure if this was normal, or if they knew I was going to review them. The food was every bit as good as the service. From the opening soup du jour and house salad, to the main course of grilled Alaskan king salmon and Zinfandel braised short rib, to the final creme brulee and cobbler dessert, everything tasted amazing. I can see why this place won so many awards. I highly recommend you put The Winery on your list of must try OC restaurants.
