Off To Las Vegas for Affiliate Summit West

Hey! We’re off to the Affiliate Summit West in sunny Las Vegas (at least I hope it’s sunny). If you’re going to the ASW then I look forward to meeting you. I’ll be at the SharASales party tonight and on the ASW show floor all day tomorrow. If you see me, make sure to hi!

This is my first time at the Affiliate Summit and I’m really looking forward to it. I mean, who wouldn’t want a chance to network with 2,500 other affiliate marketers? I’m looking forward to reporting on all the sights and sounds.

I will be speaking on a panel with Zac Johnson and Amit Mehta on Tuesday in a session call Super Affiliate Strategies that Work. The panel will be moderated by Kristopher Jones of Pepperjam. This is going to be the must attend session of the entire summit. You can see the complete summit schedule here.

Talk to you guys later!

Does anyone here use pepperjam on niche sites? I have woodcarving site that I am redoing but didn’t know if they’d be a good fit.

For your wood carving site you might be better off using Commission Junction for your affiliate programs (they have a huge advertiser base), although for a niche site like yours you should consider using an inline ad program too (like Kontera).

I have a review on several ad programs as well as other ways to monetize your site (including selling your own ad space – cut out the middle man and keep 100% of your ad revenue). You can view the article and other useful tips at my blog at http://www.TysBlog.com.

      Good Luck!
      Ty

  6. We want to read a full report when you get back, or more like while it’s in progress. Have fun and maybe we’ll see you next year at the Summit.

  7. Hi John, I´m curious bout what you have to tell when you´re back.

I´ll be on my first event this summer here in germany. Did everything on my own the last 5 years..

Looking forward to hearing about your thought and impression of the summit, imagine it to be overwhelming meeting people like you..

Have fun at the Affiliate Summit. Hopefully the weather is nice. Currently in Vegas it says 61°F Mostly Cloudy and Monday’s forecast is – Sunny 64°F | 44°F and Tuesday Sunny 65°F | 44°

So 2 out of 3 sunny days isn’t too bad.

If you learn about any great new affiliate opportunities or marketing tips at the summit, be sure to let us know. Although, I’m sure you will 😉

I’ll be looking forward to hearing all about the trip and what you learned from the other affiliates. You should try and get some video interviews with some of gurus if you can.
    Have fun!
    ~Terry

  9. I’m about to go battle a shark with my bare hands and a pint of beer.

    Wish me luck! 😯

  10. Met Amit Mehta in Vegas in Nov as part of a PPC course I was taking. He’s one sharp guy.

Question for you: Beign dead, how do you travel on a plane? In a coffin?

Just kidding. I hope someday I can meet you at one of these events and shake your hand.

    Thanks for all the tips.

  18. Have fun at the event John! Just don’t forget to deduct those business expenses at the end 😉

  20. Missed a great time, I’ll have to plan to attend next year with all the pros. Think and act like a pro, right?

I assume you’ll be posting your thoughts and ideas garnered while there? Looking forward to the post.

  21. The nice thing about those events is that you meet your IM buddy, account manager now in real instead of calling them or chat on a daily basis!
