While visiting the fair at the PNE, we had a chance to catch the freestyle motocross show. Moto freestyle is a new sport as far as motocross is concern. What started out as a way to celebrate a win at the start/finish jump has now become its own sport.
In freestyle, a rider jumps his bike 70 feet and while in the air, will try to perform a series of tricks. The tricks can range from as simple as flicking the bike sideways to as difficult as doing a 360. Just watch the video and you’ll understand.
This was the first time Sarah’s parents have seen anything like this. They were blown away by the skill and general craziness of the riders. One has to wonder what would drive someone to flip a 250lbs bike 360 degree while 35 feet above the ground?
