Partying With The Rich & Famous At CES
written by John Chow on January 10th, 2007
Well, I didn’t get to hook up with Michael Dell again at the Dell party. The guy didn’t show up for his own reception! However, I did get to meet and party with some very famous people. Dell used the party as a way to celebrate the announcement of their new 27″ LCD display. I can’t wait to get my hands on one! Here are some photos.

Reply to this commentJohn Chow and Al Roker… Truly a match made in heaven.
Reply to this commentLOL you caught me with the first 3 pics, but the last one with you grabbing her ass gave it away.
Reply to this commentI heard it took just as much wax to do create Julia Roberts’ mouth as it did the rest of her body.
Great pics, John!
Reply to this commentHey John, did they still have that haunted/scare house in the wax museum? That thing is freaky!! You don’t know which ones are wax and which ones are real people.
Reply to this comment@last photo, wax model is really good , might turned on John ,so , he can’t resisted to put hand on ass,LoL.
Reply to this commentHow much does it cost to bring a wax figure home with you? Oh, and is it cheaper to bring the wax figure or the LCD?
Reply to this commentWell well Mr. John you have a some good pictures now in your collection - only sorry thing is it with wax statues !
Reply to this commentAt that angle, it doesn’t really look like J-Lo (I actually thought it was Maya Rudolph from SNL…but why would she get a wax figure…) but that seriously looks like Julia Roberts and Al Roker.
Reply to this commentAl Roker is the most beliavable. Until Ed said something I thought that was real.
Reply to this commentThose wax figures are a bit better than the ones in the Wax Museum in Victoria.
Reply to this commentThe Al Roker does look the most believable. So realistic even I was fooled.
Reply to this commentEven I was surprised for while to see JLo in geek show !
haaa… dont get your hands wet !
Reply to this commentI wonder how life-like that J-Lo wax figure is under the clothing?
Reply to this commentThe J. Lo position suits you well!
Reply to this commentI bet J-Lo’s ass wax is still hot.
Reply to this commentYou had me going there John. But now that I realize they’re wax, they scare me.
Reply to this commentJohn, did your site just get hacked? I checked johnchow.com a few moments ago and I got a pretty disturbing message.
Well, I’m glad to see everything is back to normal… Do you have any idea how they did it? It would be nice to know if I need to close any security holes on my WordPress blog.
Reply to this commentI think wax figure Al Roker hacked the site! Did you listen to the music? That was disturbing.
Reply to this commentThat 27″ inch display wasn’t made out of wax, was it?
Reply to this commentIt’s obviously the same hacker that’s taken and still has http://www.stephenfung.net, check it out. It’s quite disturbing, must be some sort of wordpress exploit.
Reply to this commentthe last picture is naughty john !! oh oh oh
Reply to this commentAl Roker, nice….haha. Julia Roberts looks perfect, but JLO had me wondering who it was honestly.

Reply to this commentAlcohol clearly brings out John’s dark side
Reply to this commentI thought the Julia Roberts figure looked off, took me a while to figure it out. J-Lo looked very close.
Reply to this commentWhen first looking through the pics, I didn’t even realize they were wax. With the last pic, I just assumed that John had more pull with the celeb ladies than any of us realized.
Reply to this commentThomas: Wow, that is creepy.
Reply to this commentIts a scam, John’s the one who’s made out of wax.
Reply to this commentHackers? Where? What?
Reply to this commentAl Rocker looks facke. I mean look at that face.
Hm, if it wasn’t the last picture, I thought they were real. This is the fun part of John.
He could make you laugh.
Reply to this commentJohn - Great to see that at least some people think that you ‘really’ have that much reach with the stars and that is interesting !
Reply to this commentI was almost convinced myself. It seems as if John has visited Madame Tussauds here in Vegas.
They are amazingly real, even up close.
Reply to this commentThe Dell party was held at Madame Tussauds. He he he.
Reply to this commentWhat I don’t understand is why they would charge less for a 30-inch through dell?

Reply to this commentThey go into great detail to make these mannequins realistic. There’s a picture of myself going mano et mano with Sly Stallone. I was looking straight into the mannequin’s eyes, and let me tell you it was the creepiest thing ever.
Reply to this commentJason, do the wax figures eyes follow you like the Mona Lisa?
Reply to this commentthats really neat, what i dont like is when the figures look like zombies, thats kinda creepy to me.
Reply to this commentIs the guy poring you wine made out of was also…he kinda looks like it!
