
Today, while on our way to Sea Harbour restuarant for Dim Sum, we passed by a large group of protesters wearing signs that read “We Deserve a Fair Wage Now!” and “Pay Us or Lose Us!” Whoever set up that little protest might want to take a beginners lesson on marketing.
As you can see from the above photo, the signs were done with a felt pen, which is really OK, but it doesn’t answer the first question the popped into my mind; who the hell are you people? No where on their signs did it say who they are, what union (if any) they represent, or who they’re protesting against.
Then again, their employer knows who they are and I guess that’s what those messages were targeted to. However, one of the reasons to do a street protest is to raise public awareness. It’s pretty hard to do that when you don’t tell people who you are.
