PMExpo 2010 – Making Money Making Friends Panel

By far the most anticipated session of the Performance Marketing Expo was the Making Money Making Friends panel with Ian Fernando, Eric Schechter, Murray Newlands and me. We had a packed house of attendees waiting on the edge of their seats to hear what we had to say. The only problem was, we haven’t decided what we were going to tell them or even who was going to be the moderator. The program listed Eric as the mod but we decided to let Murray do it as punishment for showing up last.

Instead of going over everything that happen during the panel, I figure the best way to show you how to make money and make friends is by posting the Keynote slides we used during the session. I put a lot of time and effort into these slides and I think it really gets into the heart of the matter.

As you no doubt guessed, our panel was the most fun out of all the sessions at the PME 2010!

*Update – Here’s a video showing the first ten minute of the session.

Haha are those all the slides?
Was it recorded on video? I’d love to see it!

I agree, let’s have a look at the video if there is one, should be interesting. That’s taking nothing away from the slides though, informative and a little bit Zen lol.

I guess what you are saying is that it’s a slow, gradual process. As you expand your network, you gradually make more money, and as you make more money, it enables you to expand the networks even more. Perseverance is the key as always, gradual expansion day by day.

Someone in the audience video taped it but I don’t know who. Maybe he’ll come on here and give us a link to his video.

I would definitely be interested in the video! I do agree with the theme of the talk. It’s essential to have friends in high places.

I’ve updated the post with a video from the first ten minutes of the session.

It would’ve been awesome to have the whole session recorded.
10 minutes is better than none.

          2. 10 minute video is just about right. More ten minute videos from there would be even better but at least this one shows the atmosphere and has good info in it too.

          3. Yes … but this is like promotion teaser … few minutes scenes and force us to see whole movie … lollzz

This was probably my favorite panel of the Expo, I learned 10-12 excellent ideas from John, Ian, Eric and Murray, that I can now implement on my blogs and sites to really get them rocking! Thanks guys!

Most things aren’t secret you just have to know where to look.

Looks like it was great conference. The ones that are small and intimate like that you usually get more focused sessions and networking. Not as overwhelming like the bigger conferences.
